ThinOptics Universal Pod Case + Rectangular Reading Glasses

My husband has gotten these glasses for the last year and loves them. They come with a case that is attached to your phone. You will never lose your glasses again. There are no eye glass sleeves but somehow they stay on with no problem. My husband always has an extra pair on hand and wont leave home without them.

I bought these for the sole purpose of using when I color my hair at home or when I have it done at the salon. Seriously perfect! I can now read a book or magazine while I sit idly waiting for the color to set. I had never been able to use my glasses before without getting hair dye all over them and had always wished there was an armless version that I could use for those occasions. These are absolute perfection for the purpose I needed and it's great that they tuck neatly into a small pocket in my purse. Great little emergency glasses too. Just love them.

I got tired of trying to read a menu and realizing I had to run to the car to get my readers. I have another pair of Thin Optics, which fold flat and are great, but these are so convenient, and always with you - assuming your phone is always with you. They sit perfectly on the nose, and you can’t even feel that they are there. Also great for reading in bed if you happen to lay on your side so your partner doesn’t get disturbed by the blue light from your phone. Great product and value for the money. Highly recommend!

Pro's: Convenience, ease of use, portability. These are perfect to carry in your bag or wallet for those times when you just need readers for a minute, such as in a store or when signing documents, etc. Their small size and easy portability are definite positives. The glasses themselves are crystal clear with no warping or fuzz around the edges.Cons: Discomfort and (for some) size. These are literally all plastic. The pieces that sit on your nose are just plastic nibs that are a little bit pointy. A small coating of silicone would go a long way in terms of wearability and comfort. Also, they are small. They cover the eyes but that is all, and for people with larger heads they may barely even do that. There is no peripheral coverage.I had hoped to use these for reading in bed and not having to wear traditional readers that poke into my face if I want to lay on my side. Due to the pointy hard plastic nose pieces on these, I can't wear them for longer than 15 minutes so they aren't going to work for that. Surely the company could do better in that regard. Basically $20 for a bit of hard plastic.

THIS INVENTION IS THE “PAPER CLIP@ of our over 50 generation. !!!I no longer have to deal With sunglasses readers AND cheap breakable reading glasses for restaurants, darker venues etc.I use my RX SUUNGLASS

The concept behind these glasses is nothing short of ingenious. They would have been a perfect companion on my recent vacation. Despite packing my reading glasses, they remained at the hotel when I needed them most. I was in search of something ultra-portable that I could always carry with me.The beauty of these glasses lies in their ability to stick to your nose and their compact size, which allows them to be discreetly stored on the back of your phone. While they might not be my first choice for reading glasses, they are certainly handy in a pinch. The lenses do exhibit some distortion, but it’s not overly significant.However, the execution of this brilliant idea leaves much to be desired. The manufacturer, for some reason, opted to use a soft plastic for the lenses, which is prone to scratches. The plastic is so soft that even cleaning with an optical cloth can cause scratches. Moreover, the case is made of a harder plastic, which means you risk scratching the lenses every time you remove or replace them in the case. After less than a day of use, the scratches were already noticeable. The quality is reminiscent of the toy magnifying lenses you’d find in a cereal box as a prize.It’s truly disappointing because with better materials or a ‘pro’ version, these glasses could have been a game-changer. I would have been more than willing to pay extra for improved quality.

If you have to use readers (which I do), this is a great solution to avoid having to bring glasses along to dinner or events. Slips neatly into my pocket and gets the job done.

Bought these for my spouse and he laughed until the first time he needed them. They are so convenient! The case is super low-profile; I was concerned with it catching on his back pocket, but it was never an issue. He shows them off to everyone now and even convinced my brother to purchase a pair.
