Great Little Pump
After 15 years of continuous running 24/7/365, our original pump burned up when a pipe broke and drained water below the pump line. We hesitated buying the XtremePowerUS, but glad we did now. It was super easy to install, has plenty of power to filter our 17K gallon pool and is very quiet on BOTH speeds. We only run on low because we leave our pool open year 'round, which means, the pump never stops! As with our oringal 2-speed pump, running on low hardly makes a dent in our electric bill. So far, this has been as good a workhorse as our more expensive, though no longer made, original pump. We will be buying a second one as a backup so we don't get caught short again.

Great Buy
What a life saver, after the wild fire in Pasadena all the dirt and ash, was able to connect vacuum hose and pump the debris out insted of pool pump. Great price.

Burnt out - NOT FOR INGROUND POOLS!!!!!!
UPDATE (04/2015): THIS PUMP IS NOT FOR INGROUND POOLS AS ADVERTISED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!09/2014:Well not even 45 days and the pump motor has burnt out. We got installed after the 4th July holiday and it burnt out well before the Labor Day holiday. Very disappointing. Currently I am working with the seller trying to get a refund or exchange it, but unfortunately in the meantime my pool is getting worse with algae and becoming unusable. May have to get a sump pump just to keep it circulating. I will update as this progresses. I am hopeful the seller will make right with a faulty product, but we shall see. :)Update: the seller replaced this unit with a new one, but not even having it for 30 days (maybe 2 weeks) the new pump is having issues too. The last one just burnt out and this one turns on, but won't pump. It was working fine, but now it won't pump. Trying to get a refund now since the season is almost over. So far I am not having issues with the seller, just a poor quality product. I'll update again with how this goes again.Update 2 (04/2015): Sorry after all the frustration, I hadn't been able to review again this again yet. The seller refused to replace the secondary pump. It was hard to winterize my pool without a pump!!!! I was lucky that a local shop pool owner was a professional helped me out by improvising to close and winterize my pool. I stressed to the seller about needing the pump soon to close my pool, but he didn't care. Also PLEASE NOTE THIS PUMP IS NOT MADE FOR INGROUND POOLS. I had 3 different pool guys tell me the same thing, that this pump (110V) is not made for inground pools, it is for an above-ground pool. It can't pull enough through the filtration system for underground pools. This could be why they keep burning out too since the seller is incorrectly advertising them as in-ground, but they are in fact only for ABOVE-GROUND POOLS!!!!!

Great price for a 2 speed energy efficent pump.
Just installed this yesterday so too early for long term review but was supper easy to install. Just had to level up with existing plumbing and glue together. Started first time very quiet. I have to walk over to it to here it run. Even quieter on low speed. Onlylol pulled 9.6 amps on high speed and3.7 amps on low speed. Much less than old pump. Pump arrived early in good shape. So far so good.Update 1/17/20Still working fine. Amps still the same.5/25/24 Still working great. Runs 5-6 hours a day.

Great little pump
Bought this in 2018, still going in 2025. Had to replace the switch a few times, extremely simple and pack of 5 was $6. This pump has full exposure to Florida weather.

Easy install, moderate flow, temp of 142 deg F, but getting job done, works well in low power mode.
This was an easy replacement to my previous inground pool pump. Just plug the 115VAC cord to outlet (as advertised was not a 230VAC motor). Not as powerful as my previous pump, in the higher speed/power mode, but look forward to saving electricity in low speed/power mode. I am a bit concerned about the operating temperature though. So, I took a picture with a thermal imaging camera this evening (no sun on motor). Highest temp was 142 degrees F. Will use this as a reference temperature should I have any problems in the future.

3 year review
Installed three years ago on an inground 10,000 gallon pool. Wiring is 110v. No hardwiring needed because I had a gfi plug right where I was putting the pump. Plumbing was standard sizes, one trip to Lowe's made everything work.Way quieter than the Hayward it replaced at high-speed. I can barely hear it 50 yards away. Plus the low-speed is whisper quiet.About five times the GFI has tripped at that plug, but there is an electric robot plugged in also to it so I'm not sure which one does it.I would say my pool is a harsh environment. I get a lot of pine needles that can totally block off the skimmer which puts a lot of air in the lines. The high-speed has enough pressure to push the air through, but the low-speed does not so my filter gets filled with three-quarter full air. Eventually I will get a safety cover that will keep leaves out of the pool and I will be able to use the low-speed all the time and save money. The power / hi-low speed button was placed on the bottom which is probably good for water resistance, but is not the best position with all the spiders in my yard. They should have included a rubber mallet to take off the leaf trap lid. It gets pretty stuck on there and the lid only has a small plastic piece that comes out to grab onto.I waited three years to do this review so I would know if it was a good value or not. It is still working, so my experience is it was a good value. A $600 Hayward lasts about 10 years, this one's made it 1/3 of that and was less than $200.
