the Torrent is a case that’s built to perform
The Fractal Design Torrent is a high-performance E-ATX case with a focus on powerful cooling, sleek aesthetics, and ample space for high-end builds. Known for its unique layout and exceptional airflow, the Torrent is a standout choice for PC enthusiasts and overclockers.Design & Build QualityThe Torrent’s design is both striking and functional. With a dark tempered glass window on the side, users can display their components with style. The case's solid steel frame and high-quality materials provide durability, while the black finish gives it a sophisticated, professional look. At the front, a large, open grill design enhances airflow, making it ideal for users who prioritize cooling. Its front intake and bottom-mounted PSU allow for optimal airflow, a departure from traditional case designs where the PSU typically sits at the back or top.Cooling & AirflowAirflow is where the Torrent shines. Fractal includes two 180mm front fans and three 140mm fans on the bottom for impressive intake potential. This design prioritizes fresh air intake from the front and bottom, pushing cool air over the components and resulting in lower internal temperatures. The case also supports multiple fan and radiator configurations, with room for up to a 420mm radiator at the front and 360mm at the bottom. This flexibility makes it well-suited for custom water-cooling loops and advanced air-cooling setups. Additionally, the case has easily removable filters that simplify cleaning and maintenance.Interior Layout & Cable ManagementThe Torrent is built to accommodate E-ATX motherboards and offers ample space for high-end GPUs and cooling systems. Its spacious interior is organized to optimize both airflow and ease of build, with a shroud-free layout that avoids blocking airflow paths. Cable management is straightforward, with built-in channels, Velcro straps, and a generous amount of clearance behind the motherboard tray, helping builders maintain a clean look without much hassle.Expansion & CompatibilityWith extensive support for storage, the Torrent has room for up to four 2.5” SSDs and two 3.5” HDDs, offering flexibility for users with large data needs. The E-ATX compatibility also supports large motherboards, making it ideal for power users. The case has seven expansion slots, supporting large GPUs up to 461mm without compromising airflow.Noise LevelsDespite the powerful cooling capabilities, the case remains relatively quiet, even under load. The large fans spin at lower RPMs to maintain quiet operation while still delivering strong airflow. However, for users sensitive to fan noise, adding quieter fans may help, though Fractal’s fans are already known for their quality and balanced noise output.Overall VerdictThe Fractal Design Torrent is an excellent choice for high-performance builds that demand top-tier cooling. Its open-air design, paired with high-quality fans and flexible radiator support, ensures superb cooling for gaming and intensive tasks. While it may not be the most compact option, it’s ideal for users looking for a robust, airflow-focused case with sleek aesthetics and easy cable management. Perfect for enthusiasts and overclockers alike, the Torrent is a case that’s built to perform.

Great quality for a fair price!
What else can be said? It's the best PC case currently on the market, and it won't rip you off in the process. It does everything you could want from a case, it's aesthetic, it keeps your parts cool and it's easy to assemble with plenty of great cable management options and no-screw panels.Has more than enough room for modern graphics cards, I was able to fit my 3080 without trouble, and with the innovative fan placements, it'll keep it running smooth and cool.A perfect pick up for any PC enthusiast looking for a great case for their gaming rig!

Nice case. Not so easy to build in
The case is nice. But cable management is not as easy as it makes it out to be especially if you have quite a lot of drives in the back. Could have done with being a little deeper to make it easier to manage. Also space at the bottom to put the larger fans in is very tight. not great again if you have extra pcie slots being used as I do. Cables can easily touch the fan and get caught. Dust management is great though. Fans noisier than I thought they would be. Online reviews made this out to be the ultimate case. I disagree. It's good but not that good. Had I known I may have looked for something else.
