Fantastic - Best Rolling Duffel I have Ever Used in 30 Plus Years of Air Travel
Now, after three long fully loaded trips I can now write an appropriate review.Bag is very well constructed.Bag will stand up on its own which is unusual for a rolling duffel and really a plus.Pull out handle is strong and appropriate length when pulling along under load.Wheels appear to be adequately strong and well protected.PACKINGStand it up and pack from the bottom up.Laying it on its back and packing like a normal suitcase is not the best way to go as everything will shift even if using the included tie down netting inside.Zippers are very strong and the protective material that rolls over then is a extra nice touch - BUT it also makes zipping around the corners a bit difficult so take your time and it will work. The compression straps and buckles are nice and yes, they do work.Last 2 trips I had a little over 65 pounds of clothing and had no trouble handling the unit.Delta on the other hand not so much.I just love it when I collect my bag and there are three HEAVY warning stickers stuck all over it.Built in carry / lifting handles are extremely nice and well placed so they are useful and sturdy and work.I have not yet had the experience of testing waterproofing so I cannot comment on that aspect.Bag collapses down to a reasonable foot print for storage. I actually place other smaller bags into it for closet storage.Basically, this is the best most well thought out rolling duffel I have ever used and I have several including USMC issued rolling duffels which are a real pain to drag around. The ergonomics are what makes this nice.

Best bag thus far.
I used this only one time round trip but I love it. I love I don’t have to stuff my shoes in plastic bags no more, there’s a dedicated pocket for them. I can fit some of my camera equipment in here so it’s just the right length for some light stands and a mono pole light stand. There’s a nice top pocket for toiletries and bathroom essentials. The net is nice to squash down clothes if I’m going somewhere for an extended period of time an need more space. The sides don’t fall down on you while your packing which is a huge plus. I had this thing packed to the max and it still STOOD UP!! While I was pulling it through the airport and on asphalt it never got squirrelly and tipped over on me. The pulling handle is just the right length. I’m about 5’9”. There is grip handles all over this thing so throwing it in a truck was simple.Wheels are nice, smooth and quiet.I will say the zippers scared me a little only because of past reviews. I also got some nice TSA locks for it and every pocket has a TSA locking system on the zippers so you can lock all compartment. Also once you’re done packing there’s 2 cinch down straps that compact your bag even more that’s super handy so it’s even more compact when you’re finished packing.5 stars so far.It also looks like the airlines threw it around quite a bit even with fragile stickers all over it. An no tears or rips.

Looks like a Ferrari , tough like a tank
Currently travel about 21 days out of the month for the military and I have got to say that I have never had such a good bag. When you pay this much your expectations tend to be high and most of the time you end up a bit disappointed; well not this time ! Wow every feature in this bag was carefull thought out and is rugged enough for my needs. Spacious and able to be compact when not hauling too much. Wheels glide and material looks and feels great. I have never had so many compliments about luggage before and that means a lot coming from a group of people the travel as much as do. Pull the trigger and get the bag you won’t regret it.

Robust shell construction, lot's of storage, good ergonomics. Only concern so far is the cover for the handle.
The 2017 version of the Eagle Creek ORV Trunk 30 is much sturdier in overall construction compared tot he 2016 version, the robustness of the shell itself is much improved over the earlier version of the ORV that I had purchased and returned last year.So far I have used the bag over 2 trans-pacific flights, so far the shell itself has held up well, lot's of internal storage best paired with storage cubes. The reason why I have not given it a 5 star rating is because as other reviewers have stated some of the zippers seemed to be prone to misalignments. In my case the zipper that is used to cover the handle became misaligned while the bag was riding in the trunk of a short taxi ride overseas, fortunately I was able to get the zipper realigned. Not really sure if the zipper became misaligned due to an impact along with a lack of tension on the zipper (the handle cover area feels a bit loose) had covered the handle prior to placing the ORV in the Taxi's trunk. Will keep an eye on the condition of the zippers as the bag goes multiple loading/unloading cycles while traveling. The straps on the bottom and the top portion of the bag are an added insurance in case there are any zipper failures of the main compartment. Given that the main compartment zippers are covered by the shell fabric when the bag is completely full I am hoping that there won't be any issues with them getting off track.Would be interesting to know if the other ORV bags that experienced failures in the main compartment were completely full or partially full. If the ORV is completely full there should be quite a bit of tension/load on the zippers making them less prone to come apart. Will update the review as I get more experience with the bag.

Very well made duffle but a little small
This bag was highly rated and I agree that it is very well made. Lots of pockets, strong straps, buckles, and zippers. The only disappointment for me was the relatively small size; only 97 liters of storage. It's great for short trips but with long trips I need more room. My 30" Delsey has 118 liters of space so I usually take that bag even though I would prefer to take a duffle.
