I decided to try this product at the recommendation of a friend who had been using it. I had a very low serotonin level, which was affecting my mood and my ability to sleep. I did not want to get on Lexapro, and I had tried 5HTP, which did not help me. This product has been worth it's weight in gold to me. I have taken about a bottle and a half so far over the past several weeks (3 capsules an hour before bed time each day) and I am feeling and sleeping remarkably better! I also have a lot of allergies and sensitivities, so formulas with a lot of fillers normally bother me, and I did not have any allergic reaction to this product whatsoever.

My doctor told me that roughly 1/4 of the population experience frequent insomniaI when they enter middle age and beyond, and I guess I'm one of those. I get to sleep ok, but it's a pretty light restless sleep and I always wake up in the middle of the night for several hours. Melatonin used to work a little, but if you use it every night it seems to stop working, at least for me. So I looked into tryptophan.I've tried regular tryptophan of various brands many times over the years and it never worked for me. But the pharmaceutical grade stuff is supposed to be better, so I tried this one by Bluebonnet several months a ago. It worked pretty well. Though not 100% cured, my insomnia is better when taking this stuff. 4 capsules right before bed usually helps me sleep longer and deeper than without. I don't take any during the day as they make me a little drowsy at work. Here's the weird thing, though. This brand is very expensive and there are others costing much less that supposedly have the exact same 3rd party ingredient, which is "TryptoPure®" manufactured in Japan by Ajinomoto. I tried the less costly ones and they did not work at all. (They even gave me a headache, which the BB never did). Went back to Bluebonnet, and it worked again. So I have to conclude all is not as appears with the ingredients of the cheaper ones, despite what the label says. I wish the cheaper ones did work, because I think the BB version is overpriced for what it is, especially when you have to take 4 capsules like me. But I think most people could get by with 2 or 3.

I love this company, been purchasing their supplements for years. They’re better than anything else out there.

This product helps me stay asleep.I take a different product to help me get sleepy and fall asleep, but this is the only product I've found that helps me stay asleep.I also take Blue Bonnet B vitamins. I feel their quality is well worth the price.

I take one pill every night and it helps me with my sleep. No side effects.

I've tried so many sleeping products, pills and 'remedies' but this is the only one that really works for me. I had tried melatonin but it gave me crazy dreams and a feeling of being half awake all night. This brand and dose of tryptophan is just perfect. I sleep like a baby and wake up feeling great!
