This is the 3rd one I have requested from Dalstrong, Shadow Black Series, and it doesn’t disappoint. The first time whenI chose this series, it was because the design and color looked cool haha (and it is still the main reason for me to request this one).To be honest, I am not really into cooking or don't do so often either.So, these are meant to give my BFF who has been a main chef for the house since college as gifts.He is a bit serious about his knives as much as his cooking.While he does own an expensive set of knives, there are some the set doesn’t have.This was one of them. He has been using a normal (too plain for his taste) meat fort.Well, just like other knives from this line, he loved this one as well !As with other ones from this line, I love how the handle is designed, which sets it apart from other series IMO. Not only does it look cool, but it is also comfortable to grip according to my friend.Now, I truly appreciate Dalstrong’s craftsmanship in general. And the ones from the shadow black series truly stand out for it especially for its sharpness.

Super fork! I can't really say that I ever had quality issues with any of my meat forks, but I like the look and feel of this one. The ones I had so far either had a wooden handle, which is difficult to clean, or ugly. For most of it I am not a fan of 'black out everything', but this one looks better in real. The metal and plastic grip has different textures and shine, and therefore reflect the light differently. Works for me.The fork arrives absolutely over packaged in a huge box. That makes it a very presentable gift, but is also a huge waste of material. Still five stars.

I really like the Dalstrong Shadow Black series. They have an "edgy" look to them and are extremely well crafted. This fork just looks cool. The handle is solid and easy to grasp. The times on the fork are strong and don't flex, even though they are pretty thin. The black finish is flawless and in general this is a very high quality fork. I'm going to have to order a matching carving knife.Like all higher end cutlery, you should hand wash this and leave it out of the dishwasher.Their products come in a very nice box - this is very suitable for gift giving.
