I like Essential Depot brand of lye to make soap and that it is in a micro beads form. It is easy to pour out safely into a container to prepare to make a lye solution. The bottle has a safety cap that you have to push down and turn to open. The HDPE plastic container is packaged very well in a sealed bag and in a cardboard box, that is AA+! Very quality brand to use for soap making. Mentioned of the lye is Food Grade.I learned that this lye is use to make pretzels to help it have that brown color in putting some lye in water and dipping the pretzels dough in it for a few minutes then putting them on a rack to prepare them to be baked! Wow you learn something everyday!:The lye does not stay in the pretzel dough to not be alarm of that.
