(sort of) vietnam helmet
The helmet shell itself weighs a decent bit and is of good quality, same with the liner, and you get a good value for the money. The Mitchell cover famously fits best when applied wet, and the liner, while comfortable when properly adjusted, has an issue where the sweatband will come out of it's hooks. My biggest issue was with the included chinstraps. You are provided a leather ww2 style one on the helmet liner and a 1980s style snap-b*stard one which comes on the helmet. The clasp on the liner strap breaks easily and the clips that hold the helmet strap onto the helmet are also not very durible. The helmet chin strap is also not long enough to go around the back of the helmet, and the newer style of chinstrap look out of place on vietnam impressions, which is what I imagine most would purchase this helmet for.

Déjà vu
Due to my budget, I cannot afford the high speed, low drag ballistic helmets, and as a Vietnam era veteran this brought back some memories, the fit is good. My only complaint is the chinstrap components are cheap and wish they would’ve used the US G.I. mil spec pattern and real leather other than that hopefully I’ll never need it for any real world scenarios, maybe for Halloween, but one never knows these days.
