KitchenCraft World of Flavours Pasta Pot with Strainer and Vegetable Steamer Basket in Gift Box, Induction Safe, Stainless Steel, 4 Litres, Silver

I bought a similar pan from Lidl a while ago, and use it constantly, for almost all my cooking. I was looking for another; very few available and mostly more expensive than this. This is exactly what I wanted. These are brilliant as general saucepans, being deep enough to take large volumes while narrow enough not to overhang standard burners. The main insert has umpteen uses: as a good sized colander to prepare and rinse veg while the water is boiling in the pan; as a drainer; as a steamer. I don't understand the people who say it doesn't drain well - there are holes in the bottom! For boiling (rather than steaming) pasta, use the main pan and just drain through the insert; for steaming the insert is far enough clear of the water to allow a good volume so that it doesn't need topping up when e.g. steaming a pudding for a long time (again, I don't understand the complaints that the insert is too far clear of the water). True, one needs oven gloves to lift the pan or the lid, as the handles of both get hot - but for arthritic hands this is actually easier than lifting a heavy saucepan with one handle. The additional steamer insert is an added bonus. Still cleans up well after several months of constant use. Highly recommended.

Needed a good size pot for use on an induction hob for boiling rice & pasta and steaming - very good product.

Just the job. You can cook the pasta, drain it and reserve the pasta water for use in the dish. Useful steamer basket too. And you have a large cooking pot to use as well. Very pleased.

This looks quite good and robust but when you have used it a bit it just doesn't work well.The base leaks and it doesn't take long until it starts to seperate and the pasta insert goes rusty

I couldn't figure why all the others were £100+ but its clear when you handle it.It will do the job, no doubt, but will not be something I'm proud to pass on.The steel is thin and as someone else pointed out the folded and shaped handles are hollow which trap water when cleaning. They are riveted on yes, by cheap pop rivets. Very unsightly and a bit sharp. Mine came with only one steamer handle (its only a bit of bent steel rod), still lifts the steamer but obviously not as secure as the two pictured. Might try and make a second one from a coat hanger.You get what you pay for though and it all works fine.

It is the perfect size for a family of four. The steamer piece is a plus!!! Great thickness and draining the pasta is easy

Great quality but the only negative would be the steamer basket is too small in proportion to the rest of the pot. Would not be sufficient to prepare more than one portion of vegetables.
