STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN
I've made some bad purchases in my time but this is definitely the worst. Item arrived folded in half so I unwrapped it & laid it flat on my top landing, (it was still in a clear plastic bag at this point). After a couple of hours I took it out the clear plastic & left it to 'breathe'. Later that evening, I came out my living room & noticed an odd smell - like a damp towel that's been left in a sports bag for a week - yuk! Anyway, I went upstairs & the smell got stronger & that's when I realised it was coming from the mattress. The chemicals that have been impregnated into the foam produced THE MOST vicious odour which permeated the entire top level of my house. This is supposed to be used in a cot but I wouldn't let my dog sleep on this never mind a baby or toddler. The smell was SO overpowering that I took the mattress outside and shoved it in a wheelie bin where it will remain until it gets collected by the bin men.
