Wow Wow Wow - What an amazing product. I do not usually review products but after using this I felt compelled to share my experience. I have an inspection pit in the garage which floods to a depth of 2 feet every time we have a lot of rain. Last time I borrowed a pump from a neighbour but this time I thought I would invest in my own. The device arrived on time. It was so easy to use. I attached a collapsible hose with a jubilee clip, placed it in the water, switched on - nothing happened - but then when I lifted the float above the level of the pump - Niagara! The pump took less than 25 minutes to empty the pit (to about 2 inches). The neighbours pump took an hour and a half.It is well built - sturdy, robust, well-designed and looks good as well.I can't wait for the next heavy downpour.

Initial order was lost in transit, but an email to amazon soon resolved this and the pump arrived OK.I have only used it about 6 times and I'm impressed with the performance and the rugged nature of it.It would appear to be designed to operate in the upright position but unless the surface it sits on if flat this is not always likely. However this does not seem to be a problem as the pump happily pumps away on its side, which is how I usually use it (or how it ends up).Placing and retrieving the pump needs looking at as I have to hold on to the connecting hose to lower it and retrieve it. It is tempting to use the float to do this but the instructions advise against this. Therefore I intend to attach a rope to the handle with a cork (or similar) at the other end, like the keys boat owners use, to enable better placement and retrieval. Overall I'm satisfied with both the product and the way the initial "lost in transit" problem was resolved.

Used again for five hours continuously on Friday when flood water threatened the house. Moved water from dug sump hole out into road. Water contained leaves and small stones and did not block. Buying a second one as back up as amount of water coming off surrounding fields is increasing.

Bought the Terratek 1100W a month ago, kept in box and only tried to use it recently to empty hot tub. However, the casing holding the pump was faulty and as you can see from the photos the casing just fell apart at the screws, twisting the cables!!! Immediately switched off as the casing could have easily let in water to the electrics!! I will not trust the Terratek again!!The seller Futura Direct Limited responded below,“ Sincere apologies for the inconvenience.You will need to contact Amazon regarding this as it was a prime order this is sent via Amazon's warehouses were we have no control over these orders therefore we cannot send out any parts or a replacement unit.”Shocking!!!! So have ordered the Katsu 900W.Amazon were helpful, they arranged a refund outside of the eligible refund window.

This is the second of these pumps which I have purchased.The first is used for pumping out septic tank second (liquid) compartment contents to buried "leaky pipe" disposal system. Cost about a tenth of previous pump and works just as well for the last 18 months and still going strong.The second pump is intended for a static caravan grey water disposal system which I am installing.A small point is that the outlet adapter does not fit standard half-inch hosepipe, so I had to fit a further reducer to the outlet and fix with epoxy adhesive.Overall, great value and highly recommended.

Bought this Feb 2016 after spending many weeks looking at other market brands. I only found this make after reading a comment on an on-line forum discussing pros & cons of various pumps. This make and model is a clear winner on quality, cost and capability. I have purchased this to pump out water underneath a sunken trampoline (11Ft long x8Ft wide x 1 Mtr deep). I dug the hole myself and installed drainage but due to soil conditions the hole just filled again with 2 to 3 ft of water after heavy rain. Installing this got rid of the water in less than 10 minutes. It also beats the competition easily on particle size it can cope with. Overall very satisfied and would definitely recommend.

i use this to empty a hot tub when its cooled down enoughthis is powerful enough for the task, highly recommend you dont go for a cheaper weaker pump, mainly as it wont have the power to get up to whatever level you need and also not fast enoughi have only used this a few times so i cant comment on its reliability but so far its looking good, very happy i did not go cheaper low wattage, love this unit, you wont regret it, would have been really nice if it had come with a hose or listed to their own various length hose
