This razor is built like a little “tank” and feels wonderful in the hand. I like almost everything about it. The one thing I would like is a tad longer handle but that a YMMV thing. I like the rounded corners, the rinse channels, blade fit and alignment, the feeling of adjusting the level of efficiency and the disassembly is all very smooth. For the money it’s definitely worth a try. I usually use a plate 3/4 on Rockwell and on this I used setting 3.5 which worked well for me. Enjoy the journey and enjoy the shaves!

Absolutely incredible and flawless!I bought the Pearl Flexi and I was impressed with the speed of the shipping. Opened the box and I was very impressed with both the Flexi and the packaging. The fit and finish was perfect and the reveal was spot on. No tilt on any of the settings and it was perfectly parallel from the top cap to the base plate. I washed it and oiled it before use. I started at 1 and worked my way up each shave. 1, 2 were so smooth that I didn't think it was taking any hair off but it was doing a really good job. Then I bumped it up to 4. Very smooth still and efficient but I could really feel the blade. It wasn't bad at all but that made me want to try 3 next. That seems to be my sweet spot. VERY efficient and VERY smooth. Little blade feel to me but gave me a really close shave. I always do a 3 pass shave and before I shave I take a shower so the hair is very hydrated. My favorite combo with the Flexi is Sterling soap and a Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade from India. I would have to say that I have about 40 razors in my collection and the Pearl Flexi jumped in to my top three razors and is now going to be used daily along with my Gillette Fat Boy and my Merkur 34c. Those 3 give me the best shaves. YMMV. Hope this review helps some one make their choice and Merry Christmas.

The machining on this razor is really nice! This razor is HEAVY, but I love it. If you are the type to always favor the heavier equipment in sports (ie: the heavy pool stick, baseball bat, golf clubs etc.) Then look no further! The stand is well constructed and balanced to prevent easy tipping, it's also heavy. You will appreciate the weight!I usually get bad skin irritation, razor burn, ingrown hairs with bumps, and I rarely shave without bleeding. For the first time I used a shave soap and brush, to include using the Astra Platinum blade in this razor and it was an absolute win! Best shave I ever had! I even was able to use this razor on setting 4 for the first pass, and for the second i used setting 2. No issues, extremely comfortable and refreshing shave! The razor also has a 5yr warranty. The way this is built I know it will outlast that unless you abuse it or you happen to be unlucky and receive one with manufacturing defects. I will try setting 6 eventually. Bottom line, i dont think you can beat this razor for it's price point. You just gotta find a safety razor that your skin likes.

Received this razor this past week. I have only shaved with it once so far. I will start with the positive first. Excellent packaging and presentation! The craftsmanship is excellent!! It just feels like quality when you hold it. The weight of this razor is fantastic also (as long as you like some heft to your razors). The two part design is great. The threading is nice and the knurling on the handle is perfect. Now, my only complaint….there is a rattle as though something is lose in the handle. When the top cap is secured it rattles. If I loosen the thread to release the top cap and hold it firmly in my hand (the bottom piece that you unscrew) the rattling stops. But when it is all put together (with or without a blade) it rattles. I found that to be very unfortunate given the quality of everything else. But it shaves well. A little aggressive for me past about 3.5. But that is just personal preference.

I've been wet shaving for about 20 years and decided to upgrade to an adjustable razor. I actually purchased a Parker Variant and the Flexi Pearl. I used the Parker for about a week before ordering the Flexi. I'm using Jack Black Triple Cushion cream and traded off between Feather and Astra Platinum (green) blades.I was getting ok results with the Parker and a bit of irritation and nicks from time to time. I watched every video and read every review on the Flexi. Most people thought it was a good razor. So, I got one. Oh man, what a game changer! It's a hefty razor and feels really solid. It's heavier than my other razors, but not noticeably so to me. This razor is soooo smooth! I started out on 3 to check it out and it was fine. So, I went to 5 and even better. It performs well with the Feather and Astra Green blades. No cuts or irritation at all. I'm getting really great results and couldn't be happier. I don't think you'll have any regrets with this razor.
