Q: What kind and size of paper do you use for large Gelli pad 12x14

I do not have such a big gel plate. Mine is 6x6 but can take up to A4 paper although I have only used paper size a little less than 6x6 having left an unprinted margin all the way round. This stops getting acrylic pant on fingers/hands. Ideally I would suggest you start with thick printer paper then when confident go on to thicker paper sold for monoprinting.

Q: Does this come with paints and a roller or do i need to buy these separately?

You need to buy paints and a braver separately. Have fun!

Q: Hi, can this technique be used to print on clay, either on the green or leather hard stage or after a bisque fire?

Hi The Gelli Plate is a soft plate that can be used to transfer a paint to a surface. As long as the paints were designed for use on clay I cannot see a reason why it couldn't be used. Obviously the stage either leather hard or bisque fired would alter the transference as one state is more porous than the other. The other consideration could be either using a smaller Gelli plate to stamp onto the clay rather than using a larger Gelli plate where you would press the clay into the Gelli. Best wishes Shirley

I have never tried it myself but I would think you can
