Resident Evil 4 HD for PlayStation 4

Q: If capcom is doing this, why is there no listing for the resident evil 2 remaster? also, why would they skip over remastering re3: nemesis?

There is a difference between Remaster and Remake. This game (Resident Evil 4) is being remastered, meaning it is still the same game that released back in the day (2004-2005?) but cleaned up for the newer generation of consoles. Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake, meaning you are not going to see the same game you played back in the day but a re-imaging of the game that will probably fall more with todays modern games. Kinda like how Resident Evil 1 got the remake treatment on GameCube.

Q: Is this the new release in "HD?"

According to recent hands-on articles, yes -- this looks to be a true, proper 1080p HD remastering (in native high-definition), unlike the previous PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions (which were mere 720p upscales of the SD GameCube graphics-palatte). Capcom has even gone the extra mile and redone all the in-game textures in HD this time around, and the results are extraordinary. Many articles are saying that this is probably the best that Resident Evil 4 will ever look.

Q: Does this version come with a Platinum trophy?

Unfortunately, all Ultimate HD Editions of Resident Evil 4 for PS4 and Xbox One include the exact same 12 trophies from the HD port seen on the PS3 and Xbox 360. There has been no updated trophy list for the PS4 that includes a platinum trophy.
