Seagate SkyHawk, 4 TB, Surveillance Internal Hard Drive HDD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6 Gb/s 64 MB Cache for DVR NVR Security Camera System, and Three-year Rescue Services, Silver (ST4000XV007)

Over many years I have had a variety of hard disk drives and only one manufacture has ever made a disk that has been 100% reliable, and that is Seagate. My Windows C drives are always SSDs. I have an additional 3 internal drives in my main PC, and the same again in backup PC. I also have 4 external disks for backups. All are Seagate and I have never had a failure, so it was obvious to by a Seagate Skyhawk 4TB when I wanted to upgrade my CCTV recorder from a 1TB Skyhawk.I had to format the disk on my CCTV system first but that only took a minute and the recorder started recording automatically. I can keep 22 days at high quality 4MP resolution with H.264 compression on this disk. I have every confidence in this disk.

I have been using various hdd for over 15 years, brought this especially for cctv 24 hour recording, previous hdd have not lasted long enough, I dvr in the loft and normally my hdd only last about 8 to 12 months, so decided to upgrade to higher specification 3.5 hdd design for surveillance. So far been good, playback and recording is fast without judder. I recommend this for dvrs and nvr boxes

Very good! Installed with no issues and is up and running. Heard a few clicks, but it’s running well and scandisk reported to errors so it’s staying for the time being. The packaging was shocking! Air bubbles and an open drive in an anti-static bag loose in a big amazon box... Amazon sort your packaging out! Seriously!

It is easy to install and great value for money

I received 2TB, sent it back bought a new one 2TB again.the label mention 4TB but the actual label on the drive mention 2TB (with is the real capacity)

Received well packed. Fitted it into my Swann 4575 DVR, formatted it, and away it went! No probs. Unlike the Western Digital hard drive which I had previously tried and found to be dead. That was returned to where it came from curtesy of Amazon.Four cameras recording 24 hrs a day should give me 20 days of recordings before overriding.

Received the Hard drive on time, very well packaged for protection, just a matter of unplugging the old and plunging the new one in only difference was there was Chinese writing on the new one, running 24hrs know and seams perfect i would recommend buying this product.

Easy to install and clearly quite robust as there was no foam packing when delivered. I was worried so I go tit installed quickly, just in case. But now problem. Clearly very well made.
