Versatility is a hallmark of a great EDC tool, and the Rechargeable LED EDC Flashlight is no exception. With multiple lighting modes, including high, medium, low, strobe, and SOS, this flashlight adapts effortlessly to diverse situations. The ability to adjust the intensity of the light allows for conserving battery life when a powerful beam isn't necessary, enhancing the overall usability of the device.

I do like this flashlight as it last quite a while on a charge and has different settings so you can make it last longer. However, the button combination to turn on and off and use the various settings is pretty difficult. It requires a few half button pushes versus full button pushes and holding buttons for three seconds, etc. I find it difficult to use when I need it quickly. It’s a nice bright flashlight, but the button combination is my only issue with this light.

As an REO Rehab Contractor, I always come across moments when I need more Light and this flashlight is compact enough and powerful enough to always carry in a pocket. The 3.000 Flood light setting generates a lot of heat and drains the battery quickly, so I won't be using that feature often, but the lower light settings should provide enough light to get the job done for most of my needs. The compact size and power of this light are what sold me - Verifying the battery life run-time is still unknown as of this review.

Edit 04/10/24: Within 2 months the 2-stage on/off/intensity button began to malfunction, making it difficult to turn the flashlight on and off and to change the intensity, or to lock/unlock the flashlight.I contacted Nitecore customer support and they referred me to the seller for some reason. I paid $18 hazmat shipping to send it back to the seller, who said there was nothing wrong with it, but finally agreed to replace it. Within a few months the replacement flashlight started doing the exact same thing. Now it's so bad that it is no longer usable.Too bad. It really was the best LED flashlight I'd ever owned. Nitecore needs to work on a reliable 2-stage switch.I've been an LED flashlight user and collecter for 20 years, pretty much since they first became technologically feasible.This is hands down the best flashlight I've ever seen. The size, the light output, and the features are unbeatable. The form factor is perfect, and the materials have a top quality feel. Size, shape, button layout, it's all perfect.I've been buying Nitecore products for the last 7 years and this is their best product so far.100% satisfied. It's a pleasure to own and use.

So bright for it's size. Controls at first seemed confusing but after about 20 minutes of playing with it they are very intuitive. Button placement with one more proud than the other makes it easy to operate without looking. Only thing that worries me is if I forget to lock it and put it in a bag. So much light comes out it will burn fabric in front of the light. The light itself does heat up but has thermal protections built in.

The form factor is great and I like having the mini OLED screen to show you what mode you are in (rather than weird sequences of flashes, or inscrutable colors, etc.) BUT... The buttons are quite bad and it really hurts the usability of this thing. The on/off button has a half-press that is pretty hard to hit and the mode button is sloppy and not positive at all. Rooting for nitecore to improve these aspects!

by far my favorite flashlight: really powerful and easy to operate
