Short battery life, bad sound
Bought these about a month ago and they were great for the first time used. Battery lasted quite awhile and sound was clear and crisp. However, after each time used after that first time, the quality of the sound became worse to the point where neither person using the radios can hear what the other says anymore. I fully charge the battery after each use, and a full charge will barely last more than an hour. The range is not as it claims, maybe only about 1/2 mile range. Overall, very disappointed with these radios and will be purchasing from another brand.

Refurbished, not new. Cheap, flimsy belt clip.
I see no mention that these are refurbished radios, but that is very clearly what I received. There was no retail packaging. These arrived with a little bubble wrap bag around each radio, the charger, and a paper that identifies the buttons and display indicators and tells how to turn the radio on and change the channel - all in the shipping Brown cardboard box. There were no instructions for how to use any of the other features. One of the displays had a protective sticker showing all the indicators. The other radio display didn't have this sticker. Minus one star for not disclosing that these are not new radios. The belt clip is very thin, cheap plastic. I've no doubt it will break easily when subjected to even light force. I would not trust it to retain the radio during even mild adventure activity such as a hike. Unfortunately there's no way to attach a lanyard to the radio body to make sure you don't lose it when the clip inevitably breaks. Minus another star for the cheap belt clip. The microphone is in the center of the radio. Be sure you speak into it instead of the top or bottom of the radio.
