Good enough
Good introduction to IEMs at a fantastic price. Easily outdone by IEMs that are barely ten dollars more. Highly recommended for a workout set, or for destructive environments.

Highs are too prominent
These are my first IEMs and sound great, but the highs are pretty prominent. Can't really use for long periods or at high volumes lest you have a high pitched sound laser burn your ear drum out.

Amazing sound for the price
tl;dr Well balanced, easy to drive, with a warm natural sound. Great sound at a bargain price. If you are looking to get into the hobby, the Wan’er S.G. make a great first pair of IEMs to get. Before we begin, ears are funny things and any review of headphones or earbuds is purely subjective. To cut down on variables I use the same sound sources and test tracks for all my reviews, but what sounds great to me might not sound as good to you.In a world of IEMs in plain boxes with minimalist logos Tangzu’s packaging is definitely eye-catching. The square box features a vibrant portrait of Shangguan Wan’er the Chinese politician, poet, and imperial consort of the Wu Zhou and Tang dynasties after whom these IEMs are named. The image is also printed in beautiful detail on the cleaning cloth included in the packaging. Also in the box you get the usual minimalist bundle of the IEMs, a cable, and a selection of eartips. Be careful with the cable, it does tangle itself up incredibly quickly, so careful wrapping is suggested before you drop them in a bag or pocket!I had ordered the Wan’er SGs in white to make a change from the usual silver and black casings, and as the photographs show they are beautiful to look at. The printing on the outer casing is crisp and elegant and the clear inner casing gives a tantalising glimpse of the insides. More importantly, they are also light and well formed, fitting comfortably and securely in my ears. Using the medium eartip that came pre-installed I had no problems getting a good fit and seal. The isolation from ambient noise is average for IEMs but better than newcomers coming from earbuds may be used to.These aren’t complex IEMs, with a single 10mm dynamic driver in each ear, but this simplicity also makes them very easy to drive. The tuning is well-balanced, feeling organic and just slightly warm. This makes them work well across a wide range of musical styles and genres. The soundstage is decently wide, and instrument separation is acceptable, but rich, deeply detailed tracks felt a little cramped. Female and male vocals come through with a lovely natural sound. The bass is solid, and though not for bass heads the sub-bass has a good level of growl. Mid-bass has a good punch, but can feel muddy with a lack of detail on complex bass tracks. The mid-range frequencies suffer a little at the low end from bass bleed which can blur details, but the upper ranges are nicely detailed, and vocals have a vibrant energy. At higher volumes it was this range that hit hardest, and to avoid fatigue these IEMs are best at low to mid volumes and aren’t the pair I’d grab to blast my brain cells. Given this I was surprised to find the high frequencies were not fatiguing. They don’t sparkle and aren’t the most detailed, but the tuning means they sound clean with minimal sibilance. In conclusion, the Tangzu Wan’er S.G. IEMs are solid performers. I’d recommend them to anyone who has never used IEMs and wants to know what the fuss is about as they are easy to listen to, and will work with almost everything thrown at them. The limitations I’ve described might mean they won’t compare against more complex, and expensive, IEMs but at this low end of the budget price point they sound much better than a large number of products out there. They put a smile on my face, and even with the annoying cable that makes them worth a 5 star review.

Amazing sound quality
For last 6 months, I have tested many IEMs from $20-$300. I am surprised how good they are. For the ones I tested, none of them were bad. In fact, all of them are better than my airpod pros. Many times better. Unless you have to have wireless earbuds or use it for calls, there is no reason not to buy one of these budget IEM to listen to music. Tangzu Wan er is one of the most popular budget IEMs in the market and one of the IEMs I tested. There ore tons of YouTube reviews about this IEM. You can learn about more about the Pros and Cons from these videos. To me, I absolutely love this IEM. What I like the most is its sound signature. I prefer warm and dark sounds. I am not a basshead, but I love how strong the bass is. The bass is deep but does not bleed over to the mids. It gives you a sense of weight but not too overwhelming. The mids are thick and comfortable. I prefer Jazz and female vocals. This IEM sounds so relaxing that I can listen to it for hours. As for highs, it is a bit hold back. Some may find it not bright enough. But to me, it is good enough. It is not shouty. I plug it up to my tube amp and sounds very "musical".Soundstage is lacking, but imaging is decent. But for $25, no one should complain. It comes with numbers of high quality silicone ear tips. The similar tips I found in my $300 IEMs. You have to try all to find the best fit. Ear tips make or break your experience. If the bass is lacking, it is probably due to poor fit of your ear tipsOverall, I really love Tangzu Wan er IEM. For the price, it is as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

Save your money!
In the past months I've purchased 6 or 7 under $60 iem's to try. All have been ok to very good with the exception of these. They're only good point for me is that they are very nice looking. I'm not a bass head so the bass is ok. The mids are decent for the price. The treble however is unusable for me even when I've IQ'd it. It is extremely extended, sharp and shrill to the point of pain after just a few minutes. Obviously I've returned these and do NOT recommend them unless you're a fan of extreme treble.

Good sound doesn't have to be expensive.
I ordered the Wan-er due to the hype it was receiving in the IEM community, and while the sound is not my ideal, the Wan-er is another competitive IEM in an increasingly crowded field. When it comes to looks and build quality, the Wan-er is pretty average in its price range. a basic set of tips along with an unexceptional cable. For the price, this is somewhat expected. The shell and body of the IEM are of decent quality, but if this meets your sound style, I would wholeheartedly endorse upgrading cables and tip-rolling. I personally found that JVC spiral dots provided my ideal fit/sound profile.Subjectively, the sound came off as neutral/warm or somewhat relaxed. I could see this as being beneficial for people who listen to many hours of music throughout the day as their ears will be less fatigued. The soundstage and detail were better than average for the price, but I believe that other IEMs entering the field are more evenly matched. In the end, These IEMs are a safe entry point to the IEM experience. There check all the right boxes while providing the knowledge/ability to grow and customize. Not bad for the budget price.
