Keeps the nut shells from going everywhere.

This was so easy to use. I only have one issue that gave it an overall 4 star rating. I still get a lot of small to tiny pieces rather than the bigger pieces of the nut. It may just be the nature of the nut and not the tool. I actually bought another one.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find out how well this device works for breaking the thinner shells of pecans. I had many halves that were freed without damaging the meats. Looking forward to figuring the perfect way to insert them to get more whole pieces. Practice will make perfect !!

This is a really great nutcracker. I bought this because I was tired of nutcrackers that destroyed the nut once cracked...you know, shattered shells mixed with the nuts, pieces so small it's not worth the effort of picking out the pieces... I cracked a ten-pound bag of pecans. MOST of the halves were unbroken and were easy to remove from the shell. I enjoyed it so much I cracked the entire bag in two days. It really made cracking pecans enjoyable. Didn't take much effort to crack them and the hard shell pecans were just as easy to crack as the paper shell pecans. Same results either way. My brother was visiting last month. He and his wife love pecans so I let him try it. Needless to say, he left not only with 20 pounds of pecans but, also with my Anwenk nutcracker. I ordered another one for me and will be ordering again for another friend who is also nuts about nuts. I think that says it all.

Ergonomic and immensely effective design, the toothy “Sarlacc chamber” is amazing with all type of nuts, even Brazil nuts. However, this particular product is so badly made that it did not last for a single bag of mixed nuts. The recoil spring fell out immediately, which was not a show stopper, but at about 80% of a standard bag (maybe 8-10 oz) the single hinge pin fell out and the device fell apart. The cast metal seems like it would last for many holidays, and the rubber trim on the grip is nice, but fighting to keep the thing together isn’t worth the investment.

A few months ago a friend who grows walnuts gave us a large bag of walnuts. My wife and I tried cracking them with the old style nutcracker but found it hard going. The thin nutcracker often slipped off the walnut and when we did manage to keep it in place created a mess when we cracked it. This design works much, much better and is easier to use. Walnut stays in place and it's easier to apply the right amount of pressure to not over-crack it. Great product.Note: The first one that was shipped to us arrived with one arm broken off. This was probably the fault of the folks at Amazon who packed it in a soft envelope that must have been crushed by a heavy box. We returned it and received a replacement a few days later.

I had read this would work for walnuts and after getting it i definitely wouldn’t have said that as it’s not a sturdy nut cracker.

Forte e robusto, è massiccio più di ogni altro schiaccianoci di questo tipo che io conosca. Caso raro, schiaccia davvero anche le mandorle. Attenzione al modo però, perché quelle più dure sono come sassi, e alla lunga sono sicuro avranno la meglio anche sulle cerniere di questo attrezzo. Le mandorle vanno schiacciate premendo sulla metà inferiore, più debole.Quattro stelle e non cinque perché è composto da una lega metallica e non è di acciaio come sarebbe il caso. Chissà perché di acciaio proprio non si trova. Infine, il prezzo poteva essere un poco inferiore.

Klemmt bei bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch keine Finger. Ich denke man hält ihn beim Benutzen am besten mit der grossen Öffnung nach unten. Dabei fällt dann auch nicht der Verbindungsstift, der die beiden Zangenhälften zusammenhält nicht heraus. Die Frage die ich mir jedoch stelle ist, ob dieser Stift so leicht herausfallen sollte... hmmm.... die Feder jedenfalls verflüchtigt sich bei größerer Spreizung der Zangenhälften regelmässig 😂. Ich sehe das sportlich. Nobody is perfekt...

Lo schiaccianoci si è rotto dopo circa 20 utilizzi. Ci tengo a precisare che è stato utilizzato esclusivamente con noci italiane, quindi nessun tipo strano di frutta a guscio.
