Q: Is this for sure 8 ohm? The picture says 4 ohm on the back of the magnet.

The ones I purchased were 8 Ohm, but I think there were 4 ohm units available. If you want 8ohm confirm before purchase.

Q: Frequently what is this capable of

I used them in my pioneer home component speakers they have more power then the original ones, I live in a duplex so I don’t get to really use them like I want but the use I have gotten has been good sound quality seems good as well, how ever I would not recommend them for car audio I have Massive Audio Hippo 12s in my ride I can only go up about 1/3 before its to loud, hope this helps you.

Q: Will this work as a replacement for the Logitech Z-5500 sub?

The Logitech listed is 10 inches it says, and this speaker is 10.2 so if the holes line up I guess you can use it. The 5500 is listed as a 1,000 watt system, and these speakers are only listed at 250/500. They're both 8 ohm. If you want to search a nice list of speakers of all prices and quality, go to "Parts-Express.com" they have a GREAT selection. This speaker still works 4 years later and sounds great.
