I didn't have any trouble with this device I stuck my nano SIM card in from Google Fi and it worked I did have to charge the battery up though because it was DOA I wasn't worried too much about that either because it's not a refurbished It says T-Mobile when you boot it up but it is unlocked. Your mileage may vary Google fi's technically piggybacking off of the T-Mobile network anyway so there's no issue at least on my end. I tested it by taking it to the bar yesterday and enjoying a couple of margaritas and a cigar while doing expense reports. no issues to report but time will tell.

I bought it so i can use it internationally but this device is locked and cant be used on any carrier .

If you have a Google Fi data only sim and are considering this device, a couple of things:1) It took me getting two different devices to get one that would finally accept the data only sim. The first one would just say no service, even after the sim was inserted.2) The second unit I got immediately recognized the sim card, and put me on lte data. Even though the network selection mode was LTE/5G, I still couldn't get 5G. Then I went into the admin console (settings -> advanced) and changed the APN to h2g2. Once I did that it immediately gave me 5G service.

I really love this hotspot. It's working in Google Fi. Just plug and play. Everything you need is on touchscreen. And working fine. Thank you seller for giving me a flawless MIFI. 😍

Despite what they tell you, this device is married to AT&T. So what that means is you can never use it internationally and you can only use it domestically if the carrier is AT&T. Had to return.

I recently visited Iceland and rather than buying a SIM card I rented a hotspot. Even in the most remote parts of the country it worked pretty much all the time. I realize that's more to do with Iceland's roll out of cellular networks than the hotspot but still, it worked great. So I looked for something similar for home use. This hotspot has good reviews. I bought another one which was locked to TMobile network and had to return it. Even this one still has TMobile's branding on the start-up splash screen but I'm successfully using it with an AT&T MVNO network. Once this thing is up and running, it's great but man it is slow to light. Also if you are charging it with anything other than a modern, high-amp changer, it yells at you and tells you it's going to take forever to charge. Just some stuff to keep in mind but on the whole, it's a great little rig for wifi on the go.
