Monopod and walking cane
This has been a versatile tool. Mine has been to Kenya/Tanzania Safari and Antarctica. Be sure to check airline rules when flying; I was told that I could not keep it in checked luggage. It is small enough to in my backpack. Very sturdy and well made.

Seems Sturdy Out of the Box
4/15/24: My son plays soccer on regulation sized field, so I needed a big zoom to catch the action that is at times nearly 100 yards away. After a few months of hand holding a big 150-600mm zoom lens in his Fall season, that method wasn't quite cutting it. Usually I research products pretty exhaustively, but the Spring season was already underway and I didn't have time to do in depth research. I ordered the one that appeared to be at a reasonable price point. Arrived in only a couple days and I had a big smile on my face when it showed up a day early. Then I opened the box and immediately was sad. There was a little box inside with only two words on it "Mini Tripod". Immediately I thought to myself "did the wrong item get sent? I ordered a monopod, not a tripod. And I'm pretty certain I didn't order anything in the mini size given the huge-ness of my camera lens". I took it out of the box and there was a tiny tripod in a plastic bag and the monopod was in a cloth drawstring bag. To wrap this up, the monopod easily screwed into my camera lens ring mount and it easily extended to a perfect height. Haven't used it at the soccer field yet, but it seems to easily support the weight of my camera. However, as this is my first monopod, I'm not aware of any design shortfalls or, for that matter, any superior design features. I do however expect it to be durable. I don't want this thing to fall apart after a year. Nor do I want it to suddenly fail and risk damaging my expensive camera equipment. However, at this price point, I fear it might. The monopod does come equipped with a wrist wrap, so I'll be sure to keep it on my wrist at all times. I'll have to update my review in a year and let everyone know how it goes.

Very pratical amd soft
As I mentioned in the description, it is a practical, lightweight product. The 90cm softbox, heavy flash and light can be easily lifted together without any damage. If used properly, it can be used for many years.

Great Binocular monopod!
I purchased this Koolehaoda Carbon Fiber, 6-Section camera monopod - not for a camera, but for binoculars. I needed to be able to hold binocs more steady for a longer period of time than my old shoulders would allow, watching birds of prey around our part of town. This monopod is perfect. It will double as a steady stick for walking around town, too. The five twist grips have worked perfectly to tighten the sections at whatever height that I adjust them to. They are easy to work tightening and loosening both. Unless you're well over 6' tall, it will work well for a photographer, too. I was one for about 20 years. I recommend this Carbon Fiber over the lighter-made metallic ones - I haven't had one of them, mind you, I just think this one is much better than the others. I'm very happy that I sprung for the higher price of the Carbon Fiber. The quite large spike for hiking on softer ground is a great addition! I'm also glad it has both, the 1/4" and the 3/8" mounting screws, too (just in case I want to use it on one of my old folding cameras). I'm going to dust each twist grip with some powdered graphite, just to keep them from becoming hard to operate (in case some of the previous reviewers are correct in their assessment, even tho' I think that's probably unnecessary. It's a great-looking, sturdy monopod, and I expect it to last several years. I'm happy with it, and I highly recommend it.

Great walking stick for travel.
This has been a great walking stick - perfect for travel. Unfortunately, it must go into checked baggage but there is no other travel solution other than mailing it to yourself at the destination. It holds up very well, I did buy a cap for it which makes it more comfortable.

Good quality for the price.
I have a tripod but wanted a monopod for quick photoshoots in nature. Lightweight enough to hike with, yet sturdy enough for maneuvering and setting my camera in a woodsy environement. Gives me the opportunity for a bit more steadiness in the field. Not the quality of a good tripod, but a good monopod for the cost.

Junk
Junk. I have had cheaper ones thatvwere far better. It has fallen apart twice. I don't trust it to use it anymore.
