4 year old precision is better in every way
Dell's website has a help article that says "this computer has such high performance that it performs like crap". Seriously, it is super slow to boot, doesn't charge with ANY standard cables, and is way heavier and not any faster than their much older and thinner model.

Seems to me that Dell has lost its way
I already had a bad experience with the Precision 5520. This is a corporate mandated laptop- if it were for me I would not have chosen Dell. Is a power hog, weighs a ton and good to fry an egg on. What is there not to like ?

Great once you figure out how to work around all the design flaws
Great performance. Like the design. Feels sturdy and durable. Mine might not be this exact same Precision 7680 configuration because mine has an integrated 4k display. I use it connected to three 4k displays giving me four 4k displays: built in + two over usb-c and one over hdmi.It has its flaws that you have to workaround such as what happens when you close the lid. Another flaw: it can't power/charge over a single usb-c, you have to connect it to two 100 watt usb-c sources simulteneously to operate the laptop over usb-c power. Another flaw that you can use as a practicle joke on co-workers that have the same laptop: If you have a co-worker that uses aDell UltraSharp 32 4K USB-C Hub Monitor - U3223QE connected to their Precision 7680 connected via usb-c and connected to the laptop's ac adapter, when they aren't looking, disconnect the ac power, then disconnect the Dell Display, then when the battery icon in Windows 11 indicates that the battery is running on battery, plug the Dell Display back in, then wait for Windows 11 to give you a warning that it cannot charge the battery, plug the ac power in. Now when your co-worker comes back, if they don't notice the warning triangle on the battery icon, they will not realize that the laptop is trying to run off of power supplied by the Dell Display that is insufficient (@45 watts) and so that 45 watts will be sublemented by battery power until the battery is dead and at no point will the laptop automatically switch over to the 180 watt or 240 watt ac power that you connected. It will only switch back to the ac power if you disconnect both the ac power and the display and then connect the ac power, wait for the battery to start charging and then reconnect the display.
