While I could and have used my phone in a pinch .. live this remote.. great screen and programmable controller…

Just as advertised
Very nice unit to get up and fly as fast as possible. I would suggest getting a cover it is always helpful in the bright sun.

The manual/instructions seem carelessly-written
Suffice to say that the manual needs work and appears not to have been tested.That said, when I bought my Mini-4 Pro, I chinced out and got the controller that needs a phone - among the reasons being that my spare phone's screen puts out 2700 nits. That is a *lot* of nits.But the convenience factor of setting up the two devices was getting to me and I said to myself "Whyyyyyy not?" and ordered this controller.It has only been a few days, but it is looking to me like the convenience factor is winning out over nits.YMMV, but be advised that the so-called manual needs work.
