Great pair of boots.
I absolutely love these boots!Straight out the box these boots are very comfortable and do not need a breaking in period. I am size 11uk and they fit perfectly.I have just used these boots to hike Elidir Fawr in Wales and a week of heavy rain the ground was slippery and very boggy in places but these boots had me covered they kept my feet firmly on the ground and helped me keep my footing.I am not sure what these boots have been coated in but when walking through the boggy patches not only were my socks bone dry the muddy water just flowed off the boots to the point my wife asked why are they still clean whereas hers were covered in mud.Overall the fit, feel and waterproofness of these boots are by far the best I have had. I have only used these boots for two hikes so far but in both dry and wet weather they keep my feet dry and breathable so no sweaty feet.Would definitely recommend and I will be buying a pair for my wife!

Walking boots
Saw these, thought, i would get them as price was low. I find these reasonably light, comfortable. They appear waterproof, though not been in any very heavy rain fall. But against showers they are actually quite good. Come with spare laces too. So in all i say worth the price.

Comfortable. Not waterproof
I bought these on the back of good reviews. They cover a lot of miles and are a very comfortable boot. Sizing is right (size 11). No breaking in needed at all and my feet are picky!. Quality 'appears' good but more time will tell. These cover 30 miles a week so we'll see.One negative so far and unfortunately it's a big one. They state they are waterproof. They are not!. Wet grass on the fabric will leak through. Deeper puddles, forget it. I will look for a better boot for the winter months but at the price point not too bad. Note to the manufacturer:. Don't mislead people!

Tough, comfortable, reliable: A great pair of hiking boots!
An excellent pair of hiking boots, especially for the price. I've used it in hiking from Scotland to Wales within a few months of receiving them and they've worked perfectly in rain or shine. The bootstraps and laces feel high quality and are tough, allowing you to stretch them hard and pull them over the hooks into a strong grip that keep your ankles locked in and secure. While I am pretty confident in the waterproof nature of the shoes, there may be a gap here or there but that is understandable. In my time in (very rainy) Scotland and Wales, they kept my feet and socks well and dry. Just don't drown them in water, not what they're supposed to do.The grip is fairly reliable, perhaps not the greatest on terrain like very wet grass where it might be a bit slippery but otherwise perfectly fine on the mud, rock and road.Overall, an excellent product and has served me well!

Good quality boots at a decent price
Bought to replace old hiking boots which were beyond saving, mainly used for dog-walking in all weathers, so not tested on mountains or multiple long-distance hikes. My old boots rubbed my heels even after being worn for ages, but these were really comfortable from the start even though my feet are wide and heels sensitive to any new firm footwear. Have worn them in pretty atrocious weather over very wet terrain and not had any issues with wet feet. Obviously I have not walked in streams but for non-extreme walking, they have been perfectly water-proof. Pretty accurate size-wise, I ordered size 9 for feet which are 8/8.5 and wider than average - fit has been fine with a fairly standard pair of socks.Overall, really pleased with them so far, no signs of deterioration so hopefully will last for a decent while yet, and based on experience to date I would recommend them as an inexpensive but effective pair of walking boots.

Very impressed with these
I have worn various makes of walking boots over the years included Meindl and Salomon. I had recently bought a pair of Skechers walking boots as I find their trainers incredibly comfortable but, for whatever reason, I found the boots to fit really badly.I therefore needed a new pair but was reluctant to spend a lot more money on something I wasn't sure about. Having read the reviews I decided to give these Nortiv 8s a try and am really pleased that I did. I have been wearing the boots regularly for several months now and find them very comfortable. They are supportive and lightweight. No signs of wear or poor quality.I haven't yet had to use these in really prolonger and heavy rain so can't comment on how waterproof they are. They've been fine in puddles and rain showers however.

Not Waterproof, but good for fine weather
I am a UK 9.5, and these seem like a large 9.5 as there was more room than expected, cushioned insole assisted with this and added to comfort. Good tread on the sole, not hollow as far as I can tell. Unfortunately these are not waterproof as claimed. I encountered both light rain, where was unsure if it had penetrated as this could have been sweat. Later the same day I encountered a torrential downpour for about 20mins and the boots were soaked inside and out. I've opted not to return but to coat them with a waterproofing spray and hope that this is sufficient as these are very decently priced, very comfortable, have good soles and have good support. I will hope not to get caught in another apocalyptic downpour, as it was a rare occurence for London.

Comfortable and dry feet even after 1500 miles
I think these boots looked great but more importantly they were very comfortable straight out of the box, and they really do keep the water out. I bought them on 21st February last year and as can be seen from the attached pictures they are showing signs of wear. But that's not bad given that I walk 5 miles or so every day in all weather's, and have also immersed them in sea water a few times. I estimate that they have done at least 1500 miles in the 12 months since I bought them. I think the visible damage is probably acceptable for 1500+ miles, and despite the obvious damage they still keep my feet dry. The inner shell remains sound.I think that they are very good value for £50 and will buy them again.

13 Wide fit. Break In easy, comfortable fit.
These shoes are a genuinely great fit for any outdoor individual. They're roomy, comfortable and durable. I've had them for about a month but these have been designated as my work shoes, that swap choice was a quick change. I can easily walk upwards of 10-15 miles a day for work and it's constant high demand outdoor labor, these shoes hold up quite well. They're virtual waterproof, I haven't submerged them but they keep my feet dry on even the wettest of days. The laces are strong and reliable, the order even came with an extra set of laces. Well worth the price for an outstanding pair of shoes.
