Samantha Christy writes what I love to read and this one is completely captivating!When Murphy's face gets shattered by Caden's homerun baseball that comes flying into the stands, neither one of them knew just how much fate had a hand in the accident.Caden checks in with the team's PR lady after the game to find out who the person was that got hit by his ball, hoping it wasn't a kid. She tells him it was not a kid, it was Murphy Cavenaugh, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Both she and Caden thought Murphy was a man at this point.Caden shows up at the hospital and in the cafeteria he hears this guy talking about some model that he's dumping because her face is messed up. Then some women calls out the guy's name and he hangs up the phone, and she rushes up into his arms and they start kissing like they're at home, not in line at a hospital cafeteria.Caden finally makes it up to Murphy Cavenaugh's room, but he thinks he's got it wrong because he sees a woman's nice legs in the bed, not the older man that he was expecting. Just a s he was about to leave, the bag of goodies he had with him rips and spills on the floor. Murphy thinks he is part of the medical staff at first, then maybe her modeling agency. When he introduces himself, she has no idea who he is because she doesn't follow any sports.Camden is intrigued. He is also really angry at the douche bag boyfriend, but doesn't know Murphy well enough to tell her what he knows. He shows up again the next day with flowers, and he makes Murphy laugh. They share a great comrade.This book is just fantastic. It's full of fun and humor, love and some angst. It's very heartwarming. I absolutely recommend that you read this one so you can follow Caden and Murphy's friendship to HEA. I promise you won't regret it!

Such a cute read! But don't let that fool you, it's still has angst and ow/om drama which I live for. Loved every minute of this read!

Caden is a pro baseball player and he and his friends have one thing in common, they never know who they can trust. So they have a no relationships rule. During a game, Caden hits a home run and finds out his ball hit a fan. He feels terrible and after the game he goes to visit her.Murphy had just landed her first major modeling gig and was out at a a baseball game. She doesn’t even like baseball but her roommates took her there. Next thing she knows, she’s in the hospital and needs surgery. She was hit in the face. What starts out as the worse day ends up being the best.Love the world created already. So much fun banter and chemistry. Such a good read.

Catching Caden KU and purchased #3.99, 390 pgs ***** Caden & Murphy(2nd read 2024) 5 stars. Murphy, out of college, moved from small town in Iowa to NYC, a dream forever. She was getting started as a model, living with 3 other women, all in the same field, all barely making enough money to survive. Her boyfriend took her to a MLB game even though she had no clue about any sports and didn’t want to go. This is how she met Caden, accidentally and painfully! She was hit in the face by his home run ball.Caden, gorgeous and extremely awesome, 5th best in the league, catcher in the MLB, was living his dream with his first and only love…Baseball. This is where their story starts and what a story!I couldn’t put this book down, mostly because of the excellent writing, storytelling, the romance, the friendships, the plot, the character building and I love baseball! There are some baseball action plays, wish there were more, and drama. This is a must read if you love sports books. This series is on my list of to read over and over.********************************(1st read 2019) 5+ stars! This is one of the best BB books that I’ve ever read. Everything about it was perfect. The character building was phenomenal even for the secondary characters. There were only a couple of sex scenes and they were romantic with love pouring out of both Caden and Murphy. Their story was unforgettable from the very first page. I rarely give 5 stars and I read a book every 2 days of the year. If I give a book a 5 star rating, you better believe it’s the most perfectly written book I could recommend. This book will most definitely be on my ‘to be read over and over list’. I could not put this book down. From page 1 all the way through to page 390, my eyes never left the words of this beautiful love story. I am so anxious to start Benching Brady; I feel I am rushing through this review! After returning this book to KU, I purchased my Kindle copy to have in my library. Every woman that has a romantic cell in her heart and brain should read this book. You will not regret a single minute. Ms. Christy, this is my first book by you, and you have earned an absolute true fan. I plan on reading everything you’ve written from this point on

Love love this book series. I've read this series before and always seem to come back to reading this series.

A very sweet romance. Caden is a wonderful character. Definitely drama going on with a slow burn. The burn was nice.
