Installed a keelguard a few years ago on my 20' fiberglass bay boat. Stayed on perfect through lots of beatings and beaching on a concrete ramp. The keelguard was in pretty bad shape with some tears and holes. I was worried about keel damage and wanted to see how the fiberglass held up. Sent some pics to Megaware and they sent me a new one, no charge, due to lifetime warranty. Took the old guard off and the keel was still in perfect shape, even though the old guard was torn up pretty bad. great product and great customer service.

I have been installing keel guards like this for 25 years and like the ones before, this guard is on point for protection and quality of material.I would like to offer a couple hints to help you get more from this product.1. Buy longer than you think you need.I typically run the full length of the keel. Why? I have found that yhe more tou protect the better off you water craft is going to be. If you ever come ashore on sand, you may want to spin around to leave or you get caught with dropping tide... the extra protection never hurts anything.2. Installation made super simple.Take wide blue painters tape and make a copy of the keel guard by laying out the blue tape on the rubber side of the material (not the adhesive side). Why? Well when your trying to measure 5" width on a keel (a curved surface) you will never hit the exact size. By making a tape copy of the actual guard you can lay that out on your boat...then mark the outside edge of this with blue tape. When you remove the copy, you are left with the exact size of the area the keel guard will occupy. You can then scuff the area and apply the primer in full confidence you have only roughed the area up your keel guard will occupy.As for this actual product, I just installed on a 23' Seadoo GTX 300 Ltd. The process took 3 hrs and using the method above, it was an exact fit.Again, top product that will give you years of use.

Started to get some sand bar rash on the keel and this was a great solution to protect my boat. I ordered a less expensive keel guard that advertised “3M” adhesive- it wasn’t 3M. Ordered this keel guard and it was worth the extra money 3M adhesive and high quality adhesion promoter. I followed the instructions and installed the 9’ on my Bulls Bay 2200. You will need to get a roll of 3M blue painters tape 1.5”-2”, a roll of paper towels, and some isopropyl alcohol. Their install video is step by step also.

This is my 3rd time purchasing this brand Keel guard, I have always had good luck with them. I've installed these on two jetskis and a boat, all have benefited from the additional protection, especially when beaching or going into shallow areas. I have yet to ever have an issue with any of these I've installed, they are extremely durable when installed properly!Cheapest price I found on the net was here on Amazon. Installation really isn't that difficult, just take your time and prep the boat well so you get good adhesion.Fit perfect based off the length guidelines, I have a 19' foot boat and this got me to about the middle where the keel starts to become less aggressive.Color is a light blue compared to the dark blue show on the listing and box, slightly disappointed in that because the dark blue matched my boats color scheme.

Installed the 7 ft on a 18 ft bass boat because I wanted it extended further towards the bow a few inches from the D-ring. I unboxed mine and it was a bit stiff but I went ahead and traced it out as YouTube installation videos show and then I set it in the sun to be more pliable while I prepped the hull...that was my only mistake because after becoming more pliable when I installed the guard it stretched more and was about an inch longer than what I had originally traced out an prepped. I would recommend setting it in the sun letting it get softer and then tracing it on the hull. Installation is much easier with two people. The primer towlet dries out fast so you have to be quick applying it. Get it right the fist time because the adhesive is super sticky. I put a bead of marine silicone on each end just to seal it off real good. So far the performance has been excellent. I’ve beached the boat and it protects like it should. I wish I had purchased this long ago to protect my keel since it give me peace of mind.

I applied KeelGuard following directions to our fiberglass bottom inflatable, it cured immediately, then towed behind our sailboat for 50+ nautical miles in the ocean. No issues- durable and worth the money. Highly recommend

Not hard to install but time consuming to do it right, a great addition to my bote and having piece of mind the keel is protected.Looks good & i believe worth the money.
