It's very easy to navigate through all the functions. The fact that you can unplug it from the wall and take it to your cameras makes aiming your cameras a breeze. The picture quality is very good, and the motion detection works very well both day and night. Images are also pretty good with the night vision. Audio is always on whichever camera you choose to have it on. There's only two things that I wish were different. One is, with the monitor on split screen, there's a rather large border all around the images. The border does contain useful and necessary information and icons, but only half of the border is used, and the border takes up literally half of the screen size. It's a small screen to begin with, so it would be much better if there was an improvement there. The other thing is, there is no way to turn off motion sensor recording. When I'm busy working in the area of surveillance all day, it would be nice to be able to turn off the recording function while keeping the monitoring function active. When I come in and check the monitor, there will be pages and pages of recorded videos of just me doing my thing. However, if you know that all the recordings are nothing important, then you can erase them all at once with the memory card formatting function. But if you have recordings you want saved, you'll erase them too. These two thing are not deal breakers for me by any means. I really like the system, and would buy it again. If it lasts a long time, it's definitely a great value, and I highly recommend it! I hope this info is helpful!

After months of trial and error with this system, trying to get it working properly on my front porch with motion activated recording, I have finally come to the conclusion that this is really useless. After trying multiple settings and positioning of the camera, it just won't detect motion at night, To make matters worse, I have discovered it also has the same problem on cloudy days. Today for example, it has been cloudy most of the day, I had several deliveries with no recordings. I will need to find another system that works properly. From what I can tell, it appears all of the functionality for the camera settings resides in the monitor/base. The camera simply has a basic motion detection in it, but everything else is in the base/monitor. The old system that I replaced had all of the functionality within the camera and it worked perfectly day and ight. It was quite old and finally died, so it needed to be replaced. I will now search for something better and simply put this system in the electronics recycling box.

This is a very good camera system. It includes a monitor and recording system. I see very good images day and night. Night time images are black and white .This unit is practically plug and play. Mount your cameras and sync up is a breeze. The range is excellent. I watch an out building over an acre away.I bought an extra camera and will purchase the fourth camera soon. This unit is expandable to four cameras. Inn using three now. I should mention that the cameras are well built, metal, heavy duty. Weatherproof, no issues at all during high winds and rains we've been having this year.My brother in law spent thousands of dollars on his system and the picture quality and cameras are no better than what this unit delivers. This is a fantastic value, easy to use. I won't hesitate to buy again.

We raise miniature cows and put this in our barn to monitor them through the night when it’s calving time. The barn is about 50’ from the house. We tried mounting a camera on each side of the barn but couldn’t get a picture on the far side. It worked great when we connected it to our router so we could check it when we were away from home. The picture quality was great with and without lights. Didn’t use the motion feature. We’re not high tech but this was so easy to set up. Well worth the cost.

Update. The Seller stood by the bad Cameras and sent 2 New Cameras. So the Seller gets a Big Plus on standing by the product. Claims that some serial # cameras have a known bad chip. So they replaced them both.Bought this system just a little over 4 months ago, last week one of the cameras quit working, well this week the 2nd camera quit working. Worked great for 4 months, but for the money, they should work longer then 4 months. Have a message in to the seller and company to see what they will do for it. But if the cameras are only good for 4 months, not the system you want

I did lots of searching for the right security camera set up for me i wanted an easy to set up easy to use and i needed to be able to view recordings of activity & this little set up works great for me.The little monitor sits on my book shelf perfect right where i can see it . Comes with 2 cameras so i have the screen split to view both cameras, i expect i will purchase another two cameras as this will take up to 4 cameras,the cameras also pick up sound which was a nice surprise. The monitor takes up to 256 gb micro sd card to record activity, i use a 256 gb card works just fine. The cameras detect motion which then starts recording for as long as the motion detector senses activity all individual activity is date and time stamped and its easy to scroll through the memory for play back viewing on the monitor. There is a little red light visible on the camera at all times and i like that as i feel an intruder would see the cameras are live . At night the cameras infa red lights are lit up and picture quality at night is good... You get a cable to hook up the monitor to the internet via your modem so that you can view the cameras via a cell phone, i did not want to use this option i prefer not to hook up to the internet but if you want to you can..I am pleased with my purchase so far.
