Followed the video to replace the key blade, and found other videos to replace the circuit board. Requires a little care and a few tools, but successfully achieved if you take your time.Great product and seems well made. Very happy.

A little bit fiddly to install the battery contact pads - unlike the images these do not arrive pre installed.The screw holding in the battery is a very tight fit and not the best of quality. I'd advise finding a Philips screwdriver that fits the head perfectly to avoid stripping the head.It's not possible to use half of this key with half of the original as the it doesn't align correctly and the screws won't hold.Once installed and clipped together the key works great, a good cheap replacement.

Good product and easy to assemble

The product is good for the price and significantly cheaper than going to a high street chain for key shell replacement. A little fiddly to get the connectors to work with the battery element (they did not snuggly fit without force). After trying a number of times I managed to get the key working. Seems reasonable quality but unsure how long the new buttons will last.

The key fob had parts of the plastic still attached blocking the battery parts so I had to remove this with a screwdriver. The spring for the key release part isn’t springy enough so the key won’t auto release and has to be done manually now. The screw for holding the battery in is very short and won’t fully tighten the battery in to the key. The screwdriver provided shredded within seconds and was the wrong shape. The two sides of the fob won’t close snugly either. After a lot of messing I managed to get it to work and I’m only not returning as I had to break my old fob to get it apart. I’d recommend buying a second hand official key to replace instead of this cheap option.

So my key was falling apart and I’m due to sell. I didn’t want to pay to have it done as it was £60. Found this kit. It was a bit fiddly but nothing too complicated. Managed to stick the original Ford badge back on too. Well impressed

Not the highest quality, and a tight fit is not easily achieved, but if you need a case for your key in a pinch and can not get to a locksmith or Ford for a case replacement, than this will work till you can
