I found these ineffective against limescale in the toilet bowl.

We have some stubborn stains in our toilets and this won’t get rid of them unfortunately.If you have any stains that haven’t been there too long then this really is good.It fizzle up (fun) and rises half way up the bowl and just sits there doing its thing.Not sure it would replace a normal liquid on a regular basis but once a month this is good.Hope that helps.
