Osprey Talon Velocity 30L Men's Hiking Backpack, Dark Charcoal/Tumbleweed, S/M

This is a great backpack. It hugs the wearer with little to no movement, and has a great capacity for day long trips or even super overnights, plus it’s got Osprey’s guarantee.

Weighs 1 kilo - great for hiking, cycling, ultralight overnights (if you pack a down quilt and a tarp shelter). Way more comfortable and feature-rich than your typical dyneema ultralight.

A good pack, but I'm disappointed that there is no elastic loop on one side of the bottom when you look at the image of the trail runner with the folding hiking poles. My pack has one on the left side but none on the right. It forced me to put my poles together, which isn't as secure. Also, I'm not carrying my poles like a sword. LOL!It's also less functional for the gear I'm carrying. In lesser words, it's too "gadget" for my preferred usage. If I were replacing it, I wouldn't repurchase this one, but that doesn't mean it's not a good pack. It's just not what I ultimately want. #LessonLearned

Extremely well thought out pack with fastpack focused features such as the running vest inspired shoulder straps designed for soft flasks and the iconic shove-it front pocket. Great back padding with support and ventilation if you're not focused on pack weight. There is plenty room for a helmet in the top strap area, though this can be pretty loose if the pack is not filled. 30L was a bit under what I wanted in size when I was browsing the other talon packs, but it kept me from overpacking luxury items and really dial in my setup.
