I like the idea of these grill baskets. The cylindrical shape allows for easy rolling and takes a lot less time to rotate each wing, shrimp or veggie chunk than it does flipping each piece individually. Seasoning my food was easy as well. My vision when I selected these baskets was to make my grilling experience more efficient. I used them this past weekend, and here are my thoughts.The trial run for these baskets was chicken wings cooked on my smoker. At first I placed the wings in a bowl, coated them with avocado oil, then seasoned them. I then transferred the wings into the larger of the two grill baskets. I did so by dropping the wings into the open end of the basket, which was facing up. I then brought the basket to my smoker.Upon arriving at the smoker, I wanted to redistribute the wings in the basket, which were at this point all scrunched together. A flick of the wrist and voila! The cover of the basket flew off, and fell down through the smoker grate. Several of the wings fell out of the basket as well. So, now I have to put the escapees back in the basket, then set the raw chicken basket down on the shelf, lift the grate to get to the cover, put the cover back on the basket, and try the redistribution again while holding the cover on with the tongs. All the while, losing 150 degrees on the smoker. It was a frustrating couple of minutes.During the clean-up, I checked the amount of retention there was with the basket cover. It was very easy to take off, which explains how just the little flick of my wrist caused the basket cover to fall off. From first glance, it does not appear like I will be able to adjust the amount of retention pressure there is on the cover. Please note the retention was much better on the smaller basket. BTW, the baskets cleaned nicely in the dishwasher, top rack.So, my thoughts are that if you don't manhandle the basket, it will be just fine. The problem with that is sometimes you need to put a little energy in what you're doing, and I don't have a whole lot of confidence this basket will not repeat the same issue next time.The included hooks and wooden handles are great, no issues there.I will remain on the fence about a recommendation for these baskets, and thank you for reading my review.

I had been looking for something to grill veggies on the grill and this was perfect. They are well-made and reasonably priced. I am spraying them before I use them so it will be easy to clean. These would make a great gift for someone who loves to grill out. I am very pleased with this item!

The grill baskets are nice. These are very sturdy and the wooden handles make it really easy to use on the grill. I have another set without handles that I use inside my food dehydrator and this set with the handles is ten times sturdier and high quality. The baskets were easy to clean by soaking and using a bottle brush cleaner to scrub any stuck on pieces. I got these to cook peppers, onions and french fries for the family when my husband cooks out. They come in a really cool box for gift giving. I highly recommend and these would make a great gift for your husband, brother, or boyfriend.

Theres no good way to use the handles that come with these if you want to shut your grill for any duration of time. Conveniently mine broke clean off after 3 uses so I just push them around with tongs and dont burn my hands - The cages are where its at to cook most (thick cut) veggies.

Overall, I'd like to recommend these, but one broke immediately after assembly. The description on Amazon shows three baskets, but I only received two plus some sort of dispenser not mentioned in the description and of no use to me.
