I used this to connect a 3pin light I have to a 5pin usb dmx interface. I used lightkey on my Mac. Worked great, as intended

I messed up when I ordered these, thinking they were XLR-XLR 3-pin, so they didn't work for my mic set up, but I gave them to a friend who runs the soundboard and lighting for a local theater, and he said they're great for patches he needs, and they work perfectly.

These are perfect for when your DMX set up is all 3 pin (or 5 pin) and your new desk or fixture is 5 pin (or 3 pin) as what would be a nightmare situation becomes an easy fix. Even if you don't need them now it's worth having them in your box of bits just in case.

I ordered the wrong kind as I thought I could use these in my set-up. I can't. However, I have passed them onto a friend who works in a local theatre and he will be able to use them.From what I did see, the cables are of excellent quality, well manufacturered and should last a good while.
