i used these for a homemade tilt setup for my old johnson outboard. i fabricated a bracket for the engine and it works good so far.

These devices are great. Cimes in about any size. You can pick the weight liftmjust greate items.They are not water proff, th best rating I could find was IP 57. My reason for 4 stars

Looks pretty, failed on first day.
The piston is a hollow aluminum tube. It bends and the steel plug at the end comes out rendering it useless. Look for an actuator that has a solid one piece piston!
