5/5 top. Merino wool is the best. Thin light baselayer
I am a hardcore skier, mountain biker, cold weather sport enthusiast and I never go outside (in the cold) without wearing this top. This wool BASElayer is as real as it gets. 3 years (Nov '18) of hard use and still going strong. I'll never wear anything else.I wear a midweight Meriwool layer over this and it is a powerhouse combo for baselayer warmth. Pair it with an athletic polyester jacket to bike, and under a puffy+shell to ski and I'm comfortable down into truly frigid temps.I've worn it 7 days in a row on a ski vacation, only hung up to air out between wears, and it barely got stinky, that's if you shoved your nose in it. Merino is incredible.Yes, it's developed some holes in it over time. It's very thin, delicate wool.I find myself frustrated at people lamenting that theirs developed holes in other reviews. I spent 10 minutes watching youtube videos on how to sew and have patched 5-6 holes this has developed over my 3 years of use. I expect to get at least 30 more out of this top as long as I make the 5-10min to patch new holes that develop from hard use. I don't see why it would ever die on me.Yes, the neck hole is awkardly cut. Idk why it's so large, but it disappears under layers.

Game-Changer for Outdoor Winter Activities and a Fantastic Value
I'm surprised at how well the lightweight version actually works at adding warmth. I like to layer up on my winter rides and this thing is just perfect. I would change nothing. I'm 6'2" and 195lbs, and the large fit me perfectly. Sleeve length is longer than expected, maybe 36/37, which is great for my long arms. I also purchased the midweight version (which is black instead of grey) and my comments are the same for it. If you need a little more warmth, the mid-weight is the ticket. Both are a fantastic value. I also bought the Smartwool Merino 250 Baselayer Crew: another excellent base, but the cost is considerably higher. I switch among all three, depending upon the weather. Base layers are awesome!

Great
Love them. Just ordered a second pair. Nice fit. Snug but loose at the same time. Very comfortable. They are nice and thin compared to ordinary long johns. Nice and warm for how thin they are. I wore through the first pair of pants probably due to me wearing them and washing them almost daily and throeing them i the dryer for a few minutes in the morning sfyer hang drying at night. I just ordered a second pair of both 180 and 350 shirt as well as new pants. Highly recommend

Comfortable to wear as a base layer while cycling
I bought this top to use as a baselayer while cycling across Italy. I wound up wearing this almost every day, as it helped provide sun protection as well as temperature protection. Even though it was quite warm several days on the trip, this top was not uncomfortable nor overly warm. I did not experience any chafing while wearing this top, and it dried quickly after wringing out water from a soaking rain. The sleeves were a bit long for me, but I was able to cuff them easily and it wasn't a problem. Worth the money!

Recommended hand wash cold water (lay out to dry) for longest life out of your wool. Also no bleach.
Out of the box I thought this was way too thin to be called a base layer. The knit is fine but when you put it on you can see the color of your skin showing through. The Merino wool is extremely comfortable. I quickly discovered this shirt does a great job of keeping you warm and helps cut down on body odors when hiking. The sleeves are long which I particularly love because I'm 6'3" and have really long arms. Most long sleeved shirts come up short on my wrists, not this one. The biggest downside is the self doubt when you open the box and think -i paid $60 for this?- but it's worth it for the warmth.

Very good long johns. I really like them.
I live in Northern Michigan. We get winter. I wear wool long johns maybe 4-5 monthes each year. I ordered the leightweight top. It fits snugly. It seems very well made. The sleeves are a bit long but the cuff is tight enough to keep it from going past my wrist. Very soft. Comfortable. I also bought matching bottoms. Just right I’ll buy more as I need to replace my medium and heavier weight underwear. Excellent service too.

Next to Skin Baselayer
This was such a great buy if it was what I was looking for. The shirt is a long sleeve next to skin base layer. It is form fitting. This will not be a lose fit shirt. I was looking for something more casual so I returned it for a standard fit shirt. As base layers go this is extremely comfortable. When trying on the item it fit perfectly for a base layer. Lightweight to the point where I didn't notice I was wearing it. Very comparable to other brands like Smartwool and Ice Breaker.
