Absolutely superb camera, set-up on different WIFI to my phone, works flawlessly
This is a superb indoor security camera and I wish I'd ordered one years ago. We have a rear entrance to our house that's quite a distance from the living and sleeping area so this is a welcome addition that allows us to take a peek at anything going on very quickly and easily. The fact that you can control the camera and physically move it about by swiping the screen on your phone is still playing havoc with my brain. It's incredible. In case it's of any use to anyone else:***the camera and my phone (for monitoring) are on different WIFI networks and it still works just fine. We have to have an extender at the rear of the house so we get WIFI in the garage area and the camera is connected to that. My phone is on the main house WIFI and it still monitors everything superbly. I set everything up initially with camera and phone on the same network, then simply went into the app and swapped network for the camera once it was in place"""The picture quality is outstanding, the sound pick up is just as good and the app on my phone is simply excellent. It's astonishing to think that something so useful can be as cost effective as this.I've set it up for recording only on motion detection and so far it's flawless. Every time we walk past it picks us up and records. Because it detects motion and not heat (as older devices did) it also picks up motion outside! Wow, think about that, you can point this at a window to an area you'd like covering and it can detect movement and send you an alert. The instructions say not to point the camera through a window at a busy area, I can see why, but they're really missing a selling point I think.Overall this is a great camera and I'm super pleased we have it. Genuinely, this may be the first of several that I order it's so good. For such a low cost I can have another to cover the entire garage and another for the entrance hall. Thoroughly recommended.

What’s it like in the real world?
The media could not be loaded. I have to say that I am very impressed with this camera. I’ve a few other ieGeek cameras for the exterior of my properly but wanted one for inside the house. One thing that impressed me straight away is how the install is a lot more straightforward now than with their older models. It’s simply a case of following the instructions on their app and scanning a QR code on the camera, logging in to your WiFi and you’re good to go.I’ve tried other manufacturers over the years but have always come back to these guys. Their app integration is very good. The speed of connection to the camera when you open the app on your phone/tablet is good. There’s not much point getting an alert and by the the time the app eventually connects, the movement has disappeared. The image quality is very good at being 1080p - not 4K but 4K is only desirable for an outdoor cam which is scanning longer distances. Unless your living room is the size of a banqueting hall, 1080p is more than you need. That leads on to the night vision and again, it is excellent. Keep the settings set at AUTO and the camera accurately determines whether to film in day or infrared mode. The motion sensor is sensitive which, when linked to the pan movements of the unit, produces a recording facility that keeps up with movement within the sensor area. The attached videos show what most cameras struggle with - someone walking across the monitored area transversely and then movement subsequently appearing above or below the viewing area. You’ll see that the video tracks in all four directions speedily so you’re not likely to miss anything.Another thing I should mention is that recording relies on tracking movement - it isn’t looking for a heat signature as well. So for example, should an inanimate object fall across the area being monitored, it’ll be tracked and recorded. I mention this as it means one fantastic feature that ieGeek perhaps hasn’t realised - the camera can be used indoors but for use monitoring both indoors and outside. For example, if it is placed on a windowsill, it can be recording out through the window but can be turned round remotely through the app to monitor inside. This is a fantastic function but it is only made possible through another thing that ieGeek haven’t promoted - the camera can rotate a full 360 degrees which is something I have never come across before. You’re lucky normally to get a maximum sweep of 180 degrees.A final positive is that this is powered via USB. That means theoretically it should be able to be powered from a memory bank. Now I haven’t tested this myself yet so cannot be 100% sure but it seems reasonable to assume that it can. That brings other uses to mind. Monitoring your caravan or another area when you’re away. It’ll need Wi-Fi to send alerts but it’ll still record to SD card if it doesn’t have connection. There are things I’d like to see improved though. First is the phone app. It is quite clunky navigating to and thereafter downloading alert recordings. You get used to it but it’s not intuitive. The second thing is more down to my understanding. A great function the app gives is the ability to draw on the app the areas you want to monitor so that you could exclude the floor area but actively monitor everything above a certain level. What I don’t quite understand is how this works in practice when the camera can pan a full 360 degrees. The last thing is - please ieGeek come out with a desktop computer app and have just the one app for the different cameras you sell. I have to switch between one app for this camera and two other exterior cameras and another app for a final exterior camera. In conclusion it’s a great wee camera and highly recommended.

Lovely camera
It’s a lovely camera well designed well constructed, it has very low to zero lag.The camera quality is very clear, it’s also a PTZ camera meaning it can track and follow motion. It has a 6 seconds free cloud storage of recording which is so great not all companies do that so i can stand confidently with this company and said they do really well.I would honestly recommend this to my friends and family, please get this to monitor your areas. It’s a really financially friendly camera at a really good competitive price. Notifications are on dot, the camera is really small so it fits anywhere you would want to place it. Wifi connectivity is really good aswell.
