Bonide Eight Insect Control Garden Dust, 3 lb. Insect & Mite Killer for Outdoor Garden, Kills & Repels Insects

I was fighting a losing battle with a fungus gnats infestation on my indoor plants. I had tried everything I read about and the gnats were winning. Finally I splurged and bought a small amount of Gnatrol, which is used as a drench (on Ebay...very expensive) but it only works on the fungus gnat larva (not the mature gnats) and it definitely does a good job. However, I still had some adult gnats so I bought this Eight to help with them. I think they were going in the pot drain holes and laying eggs at the bottom of the pots because when I picked the pots up there were live gnats coming from the bottom of the pot. I probably did not water deep enough with the Gnatrol drench. I put some of the powder in a repurposed spice shaker and sprinkled it on the top of the soil and some in the drip trays where I was finding many of the gnats. By the next day I only found a few and each day was less and less until I think I now have the fungus gnat infestation completely halted. It only took about 3/4 days to eliminate all the adults. Thank goodness! Just in time to start my veggie seeds for the garden. Gnatrol for the larva and Eight for the adults. A great combination that works.

This is the best powdered insect killer kills on contact. Keep on killing until the rain washes it off then you have to reapply. If you have a spreader, you can apply underneath the leaves and it will stay on after the rain.

This product was new to me-suggested by a gardener friend. You just twist the top, and shake. The powder doesn't really spread evenly when you shake it around but it seemed to do the job. Plus, the white powder is easy to see WHERE it has landed. I'm trusting it is not harmful to humans, but do WASH throughly any fruits or vegetables I have sprinkled it on. It certainly chased the bugs away. I hope the butterflies aren't sampling it.

1rst time user. Worked great on big blk ants nests in your. 2-3 days. 1rst killed a bunch in 1 hr but nest moved what was left next day. treated again same thing. 3rd time got them all. Last yr I had problem with squosh bettles. Killed all my zuceanie. Read about them and adults are under ground come up lay eggs on plant and they eat plant. This kill also under ground so before squosh came up I applied to ground and killed them from the start. Great crope this yr. Have bought and will nest year for all my yard bugs.

On a scale 1 to 10 10 being the best on package appearance I give it 10 on easy to use as long as you have a duster it is very easy to use so I give that an eight on actually working to rid your garden of crawling insects I give it a 6 because I put on one application when my garden was covered in crawling insects it got rid of majority of them but I had to go in and put a second coating after a week because they were still present but it is still in an effective product it did work as advertised so overall I'd give it a 8 what about this product again absolutely

We have paid 5.99-6.99 in one pound sprinkling containers over the counter in stores that barely was enough for my flowers and two rows of fresh garden vegetables for just one month! Three pounds for 8.99 is a super value, I purchased two and will probably need to buy more before our garden produce has finished producing. We kept two of our one pound containers to use, but the dollar tree may have a container you can us to springle over your plants. Maybe you can use an old salt box and sprinkle it easily over your flowers/vegetable plants. Regardless, this is far better than paying 18.99 or 21.99 for the same product over the counter!
