Q: I need this temporarily. Will they be easy to remove without damaging existing floor?

Yes it is easy to pull up without damaging the floor. I have laminate floors and I have pulled mine up several times easily. Just lift the edge of the silicone adhesive and pull on the strip until it pulls all the way up. I hope this helps.
