I place it in a small container of water to get it wet and separated then pour small amounts into tank where it starts to sink or else if not properly wetted it will float on top till it absorbs enough water to sink. If I have some of the crumbs in the can, I just wet my finger and poke it into the finer crumbs and swish it in the tank works well too.

Yes. It's "meaty" enough that American cichlids, and even goldfish, will readily this food.

Q: Can hermit crabs eat this?

I would imagine so, since they eat both animal & plant foods, and this is probably better than commercial foods that contain grain. However, I'd still give them a variety of unprocessed foods, because they seem to like variety.

Q: What % is brine shrimp and what % spirulina?

The can lists 48% crude protein --- the rest is fat, fiber, moisture and Phosphorus.
