I was so excited to see this as a add item for so cheap! I used to love playing with silly putty as a kid! Now that I have kids of my own I'm excited to introduce them to this fun not messy or loud toy! I am going to put them in their stockings for Christmas!

I was excited to share this with my children, as I remember having enjoyed silly putty when I was a child.Opening up the package, my first disappointment came by the very small amount of silly putty that was included. Perhaps it was always small, or perhaps as a child things like this seem larger than life, but at the buck I paid for it, I felt a little bit jaded.Nonetheless, I didn't let that deter me from trying to share the joys of silly putty. Rolled it into a ball and bounced it around the house, and then tried to lift newsprint onto it. (The newsprint didn't work to well -- perhaps a better quality newspaper is in order?)My daughter than proceeded to smash it into a pancake (and presumably slide it under the couch, or some other hidden depth, as it is now lost.)If I had to do it over again, I think I'd have opted to utilize said dollar to buy some moon dough. While it doesn't bounce, nor does it lift newsprint, it seems a lot more fun.

There's not much to say about this as it's just your average run-of-the-mill silly putty. I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary are outstanding. I did notice that on like the potty that I used when I was a kid, this really doesn't pick up the newspaper print like the kinds back in the day.I got this for a client of mine as a reward. I'm a therapist and so I like to use reward systems when my clients meet certain goals. The client in question is a young girl who thought that Putty would help her keep her hands busy and better able to focus and just get some extra energy out.This doesn't come with very much putty in the package as it is just one container, so if you really want some putty to play with you might want to order a couple of these at once. There is nothing crazy or anything that really stands out to me about this putty in general but it gets the job done.I often recommend these types of items to patients of mine who struggle with hyperactivity and excessive body movements. It tends to give them something else to focus on and is a mindless enough task where they can keep their hands busy while still paying attention to whatever they need to focus on.I was able to purchase this item at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. My old piece of Silly Putty is about thirty years old, and has gotten too stiff for me to use. Silly putty is very useful for taking impressions off of machined parts, which allow you to examine and measure the 'reverses' of the machine part. Sometimes the only way you can get an idea of how some part is made is by doing a reverse part. Hard to explain, but a huge number of machinists have a bit of silly putty squirreled away somewhere in their tool box. It may wait a year, or get used every day, but it's there.

Does not feel like the original silly putty. It is a lot more rubbery and stiff. Does not appear to get more malleable with time. Also they only put half the normal amount in the egg. What's with that? Not worth the money.

The Silly Putty was just like the original that I loved and enjoyed as a child. I put it in the grandchildren's Easter baskets. As soon as my granddaughters opened theirs I heard my son comment. I remember this, come here girls and let me show you how it works. He got the Sunday color comics and quickly showed them how to copy the pics and then stretch them. The girls, ages 7 and 4 were quickly doing it by themselves and having fun. I highly recommend.I received the product for free or at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

It snaps easier, isn't as stretchy, and of course it's smaller and the packaging cheaper - BUT that's going to be the same with ANY Silly Putty now - so I can't hold this seller in particular responsible.
