Good looking bin.Fiddly at first as instructions aren't great. We diagrams on the box.Some of the negative reviews are possibly due to people just not knowing how it works.It's a bin, I know, but it was frustrating til I figured it out.Fits any bin bags!(Flip the 2 metal bars and tuck the bag under).To empty, open the bin using the pedal, lift the 2 retaining bars. Let the lid close. Now prise up the front with the lid closed and you'll see it's hinged at 90 degrees at the back allowing you to remove the bag.Recommend you pull it forward as you lift the bag up to avoid the occasional bag catching on the mechanism at the back of the bin.

Looks great! Much nicer looking than our former simple human bin. Also much smaller - doesn't at all look like 50L which is a very good thing except it actually isn't. It fits very nice into our small corner and is compact - shorter and slimmer than other 50L bins we've seen so very good for indoor stylish kitchen use! Thanks Swiss design :) Like the opening mechanism and great that you can lift entire cover too.Foot pedal isn't hard to push and feels fairly sturdy albeit light to the touch.Love the metal clasps - doesn't feel a 100% secure under heavy rubbish but good so far.Only -s is that there was no manual though I don't really need one - seems self explanatory and there were a few notes on the packaging. Also still feels a tad bit pricey but it was one of the cheapest we found so probably says more about how much I feel about the overall bin pricing nowadays!Overall very pleased although day 1!Will update if more usage reveals any flaws...

Packaging-Came well packed. The cardboard box the product comes in, is not flimsy at all.Quality-The bin is of good quality. Swiss made. The pedal is easy to use. The metal and plastic combination has worked well to make a great bin.Practicality-The bin although relatively big in size, is very light. The metal clip inside helps to hold the garbage bag in one place. The lid opens from the middle (see pictures).Price-I directly bought from Amazon, and it was on offer then. I would be happy to pay any price up to £35 for this.

The gap in this butterfly openings is too big which allows smell out & flies to get in & breed.Built quality not so good.This items was returned

A very nice looking bin. The lid opens just fine and allows easy access to put rubbish in. The only problem is getting the full bags out. The bags hang on two movable rods which you have to lift to release the bag, then you are supposed to clip them back down and pull the bag through he opening. Which is good if you want to lift the bin off the floor or tear your bags, because a full bag is bigger than the opening that you are trying to pull it through. So you have to remove both of the rods across the centre of the opening, hope you don't have two bags in there, and jiggle the full bag out the opening. Then put the rods back, open them up and load a new bag.Other option is to remove the centre rods and use a massive bag on the other two hangers, but I don't generate enough rubbish to justify this.

Excellent quality, the lid opens and closes smoothly and silently and the entire top portion can be lifted up to make removing the bin bag easy. An excellent, compact bin that stil has 50 litres capacity.

Fits in nicely in my kitchen and is quite a high capacityI use mine for dry / plastic / non recyclable items therefore I do not use a bin bag - My non recyclable reguse is collected by local council every 3 weeks which is quite a long time - I can make this bin take up to 3 weeks worth of non recyclables before it needs emptying with maticulous recycling of all the other throwaway items.

Love it! Great bin, great size... perfect to fit into the dynamics of our new kitchen :-)
