comfy and looks good
very easy to set up and use, battery does run out if on a long walk when using GPS but I had walked 40 miles before it did run out but charged quickly with my solar charger otherwise battery lasts around a week without charging and just general using

Brilliant outdoors and training watch
I got this on Amazon Prime day. £160. A brilliant watch. I love the mono screen. Much better contrast in bright sunlight than colour screens. Deep dive into the functions. Picks up Strava routes no problems. Great navigation cures. I love the Garmin Explore sync options. Download the Explore app or go to Garmin Explore web portal. All waypoints and routes are marked with symbols and labels on the screen. Great for planning a hike. Battery life is amazing. Can easily go for a week or more with light GPS use. I love the G-Shock styling. This is tough but light. Highly recommended if you need a full range of outdoor training functions at a great price without the bells and whistles (or price) of the Fenix.

Either the item was faulty or the user manual was
I purchased this item from Francis & Gaye paying for it through Amazon. First of all, let me say that Francis & Gaye were EXCELLENT and I should have no qualms about dealing with them again. They sent the item promptly, were responsive to emails and even arranged my refund promptly. However the watch was another matter. I couldn't get it to function at all.Either the watch itself was faulty or else the owner’s manual for this item, which I downloaded in pdf form; (part No. 190-02354-00 published October 2018,) was very, very wrong about how the item should be operated. Here are some examples from the ‘Viewing the Controls Menu’ on page 1 of the owner’s manual: -1. To view the Clock menu, you are told to hold the number 3 button; (that is the ‘Back Set’ button – bottom one on the right side of the face). In fact, when you do this, nothing of the sort happens. You got a screen with the word ‘English’ prominent, but nothing else happened.2. To view the Widget menus, you were told to use the number 5 ‘Up Menu’ button; (the middle one on the left of the screen). You use this button to scroll through the widget menus and then hold the button down to view your chosen menu. Repeatedly pressing the number 5 button did indeed enable you to scroll through the list of widgets, but when you hold the button to see your chosen menu, nothing happened. In short, I wasn’t even been able to make this device do the things it is supposed to be able to do. Indeed, I wasn’t even able to make this device tell me the time! And I’m a person used to handling computer equipment. All in all, a very disappointing experience. I have never had anything from Garmin before and don't expect to buy anything from them again.
