I have always like Dominoes but I mostly own sets that are thin and not one color of pips. The ones that come in tin boxes. I wanted to get a tournament size thick dominoes with spinners. The Yellow set is what caught my eye. I have a soft spot for Bakelite games. Even though the yellow isn't exactly like the vintage Butterscotch color. It's close enough for me and I didn't have to spend $100+ for a true Bakelite set. I was pleased with my set. It is what I was expecting to see. I like the velvet box. However with velvet it is a magnet for collecting pet hairs and other loose debris. Not a fan of that but it is nice to handle with the soft feel of the velvet. I use a Junk Mat made for Riichi Mahjong and can easily play a complete game without cramming. I use this mat to keep the table and dominoes from being scratched. With the crylan blue color of the Junk Mat makes the yellow color of the dominoes pop. Easy to read what you are laying down and thick enough to not topple over if you choose to sit dominoes on their side for easy viewing. Highly recommend this brand of dominoes which ever color catches your eyes.

4th set I have bought of these. Given a couple as gifts. These are great for 42.

Liked the size, weight and feel of the dominoes. Purchased as a gift for a friend. Only drawback: Instructions were in a ridiculous small print. Need a magnifying glass to read them. Case was slightly damaged on one side. Needed to be reglued. The damage likely happened when delivery dropped package on my stone front step.

These definitely look used. I can picture if they were played in an actual tournament, used once then packaged for resale, recycle or upcycled. Similar to what casinos actually do with decks of cards that are used on the floor then sold in their gift stores. Although I don’t think that this is the case. I think that there’s just a series of steps in production from moulding, cutting, shaping, drilling, sanding, painting etc... and they were handled roughly. They don’t have that smooth polish or shine you would expect from something new.My pieces came shrink wrapped and still had all these minor scuffs. And a TINY TINY chip in the back of one. I took a gamble after reading some people had a worst experience and glad I did. I’m extremely happy with what I got. I actually like this roughness. It doesn’t make me feel like I have to be super careful with them. And what’s the fun in playing dominoes when you can’t slam a piece now and then.You could easily pay double or triple the price and get something pristine. But after a few plays they will look like this anyways. The quality is definitely there in the pieces. The box is quality too. And with Amazon’s return policy why not take a chance.

The domino's were hood quality and I like the deep blue marble color.
