Must know how to use it
Works well. Requires 12 volts to operate segments and 5 volts to operate decimal point. Can not drive with Arduino only. Must use line driver.

Defective
I am not satisfied with the purchase. I bought a single digit to see how it works, and the problem is that two segments are dimmer than the others, and the dot doesn’t light up at all. I’m returning it and will order another one. Maybe I just got a defective unit?

Works perfectly but you need the information...
This 7 segment display worked great for my project. It shines bright and looks very nice. The downsides are that there isn't any apparent way to mount it (which is not major but still deserves a small knock), and the lack of any kind of information about how to wire the thing anywhere online. I was able to sort it out and with 12v to com and ~500 ohm resisters on each line to ground (as needed) I got a solid glow on each segment. You can go lower for brighter though I don't know the exact limits (no datasheet found). I'm attaching a reference I put together for the pinout. I guarantee nothing but this worked for me so I'm hoping it will help someone else.

No datasheet. Unusual product with little guidance.

DEAD LED SEGMENT - DP only lights up
The media could not be loaded. The DP is the only thing that lights up. I just got to use this for my project and its dead on ARRIVAL.Programming Arduino to light up segments. Thought my program was faulty but to find out the product is faulty.Such a shame. Stay clear.

Usable with the correct information.
Nice large display. a couple of the units I received had a dead segment. A datasheet would be nice if it was available. found one on a obscure website. hope it helps.
