I LOVE this clock
I LOVE this clock! So does my 5 year old daughter. I like how colorful it is. It's eye catching and beautiful. I like how there's a half circle around the big numbers. It helps my daughter clearly decipher what the hour is. And I like how it has all the minutes labeled. I'd like to point out that 0-9 (minutes) are labeled 01, 02, 03 etc. This prompts her to SAY the time correctly and the same way she would say it for a digital clock. For instance, the time may be 2:07. If the number was labeled just 7, she would read the time, 2:7. But since there's a zero in front of the 7, it prompts her to say it correctly (07). This is how she will read digital time, so the clock helps her easily transition. This clock also has military time on it. I will bring my daughter's attention to that a bit later after she has regular time down pact. This clock also helps me teach my daughter time management. I may tell her, for instance, you have 15 minutes to get dressed. We figure out together (counting by 5's) what time it will be in 15 minutes. Once we figure out that in 15 minutes it will be 7:45 (for instance), she knows exactly where that is and what it looks like and it helps her move with a purpose because she's constantly looking at the clock to meet her deadline. She's ultra proud of herself when she finished before her deadline. It also helps give her a sense of time. Understanding how long 5 minutes feels vs 30 minutes. When I tell her she can have a snack in 30 minutes, she understands how long from now that is by looking at this clock, and then proceeds to tell me that that's too long to wait and she's gonna starve. Reading Analog Clocks Made Easy
Learning to read an analog clock seems to be even more difficult for kids now because the digital alternative is so readily available. My classroom wall clock hasn't worked for more than a year so I purchased this to replace it. I love the concept and the clock is cute, adding a nice touch to my classroom. I would like it to be big enough to hang at regular clock height. This size needs to be hung at student eye level in order for them to see the minute numbers. It is accurate and of good quality. I would just like it to be bigger.

easy to use, easy to teach, attractive bright colors
I replaced this for my kitchen clock. My kids (4 & 6) can tell me exactly what time it is, every time, correctly. They love the rainbow colors, the line that goes around each hour number, and the minutes large enough they can read them from 6-7' away. I love all these things and that it's not *too* cute to be on my kitchen wall. I also love that - unlike some other clocks I've ordered from Amazon - it hangs straight and keeps time correctly, at least so far, and we've had it a couple months.WIN!

Great clock for children's bedrooms and homeschooling!
I use this clock in my children's bedroom (ages 3, 5 and 7). They LOVE it because it is bright, cheerful and it make sit EASY for them to tell the time. (They want to be able to know when nap time/reading time is over.) Plus, we have actually taken it off the wall to use for learning to tell time (the best part is all the minutes are indicated, making it a breeze!) This clock includes three hands (hour, minute and second hands) and mine runs silently. I have had this at least a month and it hasn't missed a beat. I would buy this again and highly recommend it!

great teaching tool/stupid proof
my kid is learning how to tell time in school. love this clock. makes it so easy to tell time. she went from slightly struggling to soaring. me too lol. love that all the minutes are marked out so you can get a sense of where they are, so transitioning to a generic face clock should be easier.

Nice idea. A bit of a miss in execution.
Midnight is NOT 24:00 hours. It is 00:00 hours.Update: My previous statement was ambiguous. I was objecting to midnight being shown as 24:00 hours instead of 00:00 hours.I see now that I missed the fact that the hour is actually marked as 00/24. 24:00 is an acceptable reference for midnight, but very uncommon. However, I still have some concerns that prevent me from giving this product 5 stars:* Gains about a minute a day* Color contrast could be better* Overall the display is very "busy." I don't think it was necessary to note the number of every minute. Removing this information and replacing it with 00, 15, 30, 45 would improve readability.* To be more effective, 12 inches is really just too small, it needs to be 14-16 inches instead. Otherwise you have to let the child hold the clock in their hands to be able to read it (which kind of defeats the purpose of a wall clock).

Great clock for children's room!
I purchased this clock several years ago for our grandchildren's room here at our house. I liked the bright colors which matched the bedspreads, and we appreciated how easy it was for the different ages to read. Four years later, the clock is still running on the original battery I put in. It looks great, is easy for them to read, and we are very pleased with the purchase.

Quit Working
This clock is great for teaching time. Unfortunately it does not stay working. It worked for a few months although even then it was always a little behind, had to adjust the minute hand every few days. Then it just quit working. Put fresh batteries in, straight from the store, even different brands several times. I still use it to point out numbers for teaching but as far as keeping time, it's a waste of money.
