Keypads started going out on my Mesa Safe after 10 years of use. Called them up and they were having supply shortages and didn't know when they would have them in stock again. Did an Amazon search and found these keypads which looked the same, so I ordered to see if they would work. Luckily they work perfect! I had to rearrange the locking mechanism, but it is reversible so no issues there. Only problem I had, was the buzzer was a little weak on both keypads I ordered. Probably perfectly adequate in most environments, but I'm in a noisy area and it was hard to hear. I removed the buzzers off the old units and put them on these, much better!

Put in per instruction. Added new battery. Tried a different battery. Lights would come on but could not program the lock. Wouldn’t make noise. Nothing. Lights just stayed on. All 3.

Due to the lack of electronic safe locks on amazon, I decided to give it a try to this lock. Not a good investment. I bought two and one was "ok". The other one stopped working before installation. I had to return the item. The battery support was broken, and one programming the lock I was able to test it a few times (being an expert on locks I can asure you that i follow the steps and actually it was working). All of a sudden BEFORE installing, and running one final test, the lock just stopped working. When plug in the battery, a long beep started that never end and that's it. No solution. Returned the lock.

Check to make sure which way your Lock handle turns before ordering. This is for a counterclockwise turning handle. Most of the American made gun safes I've seen all swing clockwise. I got this unit to replace the dial style lock on my safe. Once I got into the safe and installed it. I found the lock would not release because the latch was backward. My safe door opens form the left side. I was able to make the assembly work but I had to completely take the latch apart and nearly reverse everything inside. Though it was not overly difficult. The manufacturer does not provide instructions. Another issue you may also have to remove or modify the secondary security (anti-tamper) lock. Once I made all the modifications it works fine. Though I have not tried any f the special features like setting up additional combos or the delay function, so I cannot speak to them.
