Great stand for the price.
It doesn’t have the height my iron cobra has but that’s still not an issue. Over all it’s a very nice built stand. I bought it for my e-kit. Works well extremely smooth and good adjustability. You’re not going to find a better hi hat stand in this price range.

Affordable heavy duty hi hat stand
First of all, customer service ranks top notch. There was a mix up in shipping. Once addressed, Griffin acted to make things right.About the product itself, the design seems to be public domain. I mean, I've found two other brand names selling virtually the same stand, only difference in brands are the in the design of the foot pedal, and how the foot plate mounts to the stand. I knew this from the start, and decided to go with Griffin anyway. Griffin has a more no nonsense design with their foot pedal. Their major competitor's looks like some wannabe Viking-metal-whatever. Griffin's looks like it's for business. The negative's highlighted in some reviews are not deal breakers to me.*Some griped about the weight. The stand weighs in about 12 pounds. Solution: travel with minimum equipment. Just an example: three cymbal stands and a four piece kit. For cymbal stands, PDP 700 series will git 'er done. For pedals, any light but sturdy single chain pedal. DW 2000 feels nice and moves fast.*There was a critique concerning the two key bolt method for securing the pedal base plate to the stand. Complaint made fuss over losing key bolts. Hey, that's why God gave us tackle boxes. Never travel without spare... everything. And just for the record, you don't really need two key bolts to secure the plate. My stand came with three bolts: one for each side, and one for the front. For quick setup, I don’t need all three bolts. The front bolt and the two spring loaded anchor spikes, are all that’s needed to keep the plate sturdily in place. This method can save a few seconds (or minutes depending on the fumblerooskies) with set up.*Someone complained about stability. For stability, I gave it 5 stars. Compared to any three leg stand, a two legger is going to fall short. I compared the Griffin to a couple of duecers already in my possession: A Pearl 2050, and a DW 3500T. All three stands plant pretty much the same. Stability depends on where the legs are positioned, and how you set up the base and legs. The only improvement I could think of to make this a more competitive product would be, and I know this is some serious nit picking:*A little less meat on the clutch. The wing nut is massive for what’s needed. The problem with this is... it just looks awful.

Best bang for the buck!
As they say "best banf for the buck". I am very impressed with the quality of this stand. It's equal or even better than high price big name stands. Very well made, smooth and sturdy. It is a bit on the heavy side but I don't mind since it stays in place.

Worth the Money
I have a DW9000 HH and this is fine for something you would leave somewhereand not have to worry about it. Good Quality less than 1/3 the Price of the DW.

Don’t hesitate. You looked for a reason. Just buy this and be forever happy
Quality beyond what it should. I’ve had nice expensive hihat stands in my day but this actually impressed me. I’d buy 10 more before I even thought about anything else.

This stand really is fantastic for the price.
It is heavy but that does not deter me as I dont gig so this just stays in one place. Its is very solidly build. The rubber bottom rest for the HH helps with sustain which can be a good or not so good thing depending on what you want. What I like best is how smooth the pedal and double chain system are on this. Sooooo Smooooth. I was nervous based on the price point but this blows away my more expensive 3 leg stand. I really needed the extra space for my double kick pedal. Perfect addition to my kit.

Stability issue.
This stand is good, but not very stable. I had to secure it to a rack extension to stabilize it. Love everything else about it.
