Q: How do you increase and decrease the volume with only one button?

Q: Do they need batteries?

No, they don't. There is no noise cancelling on that model, which is usually the only reason why headphones require batteries.

Q: How long is the cord ?

Our JBL Tune 500 has a cord length of 3.90 feet (1.2m)

Q: Question for customers, not seller/mfr pls: will these fit a larger head (23", 58.5cm circ.) with glasses 1) comfortably, and 2) for a long time?

Don't know the size of my noggin for sure but I have a pretty big head! I also wear glasses and I like the way the headphones feel. Beware the short cord if you are using it for anything other than close to your phone or computer/laptop.
