Life Saver
I rarely leave reviews unless a product is so bad nobody should ever buy it or so good everyone should buy it. This is a so good everyone should buy it. If you have a pet, you need this in your arsenal of home remedies. I'm pretty sure it saved my Yorkie's life until I could get her to the vet. She had vomiting and diarrhea so bad she couldn't walk. She is only 5 lbs and dehydrates very quickly. I gave her 1/8 of a tsp 4 x a day (to keep her blood sugar level) until she could eat again. I will never be without it.

Magical remedy for a picky eater
I understand that it depends on the situation and dog, but for us this paste has been a life- and money-saver. Our dog Morty is really picky and sometimes he doesn’t eat enough. Before we found this product his whims would end up in morning and then all-day long vomiting because of hunger and going to the vet just to hear that he must’ve eaten something bad. He won’t eat anything in this case, but now that we have this paste, he will eat it in any condition, even when he doesn’t want his favourite treats. Now whenever I see that he hasn’t eaten for a long time, I just give him an inch of this paste, and he is good to go, his appetite is awakened, and energy level is restored. I am really happy that we’ve found this magical remedy for our furry picky friend.

Life Saver!
This product is awesome and I am reviewing it for a second time because I had to use it again. My 18 year old baby hates pills. She will spit them out even if they are wrapped in cheese and peanut butter. She had a reaction to chicken after all these years and was beet red on her tummy, bad diarrhea and throwing up.She was prescribed an antibiotic and just like the last time I used it, she wasn’t eating and hated to take the medication. The first time I order this product it was a life saver, so I ordered it again and never fails. She loves this stuff and it helps with her energy, gives her calories and I don’t have to fit her giving her antibiotics.

Missing Plunger
Ordered this for a weaning kitten that needs extra calories. Was shipped to me without the plunger part so the gel was exposed to god knows what... Cannot believe it was shipped to me like that and I can't return it.**UPDATE** I contacted the company through their website and was informed this was a mistake on Amazon's part and I was sent a new one directly from their warehouse the next day. Customer service was very kind and understanding. The actual product is great and I would buy it again if needed! I bought this for a kitten failing to thrive that really needed the calories. This has more calories than a different high cal gel I had so I preferred it, every calorie counts when it comes to failure to thrive kittens. Said kitten is now doing amazing and eating on his own, this product was definitely a lifesaver and I recommend it for kittens for sure. It can be mixed into food or you can put it on your finger and into their mouth, it is super sticky so it can't be spit out easily.

I can’t recommend this enough!
I wasn’t sure on whether or not to purchase this product due to the few comments saying their pet passed away even after trying it out. I am so glad that we decided to try it. My three year old pug got sick about a month ago with diarrhea and was not able to eat. We took her to the Vet and she got better with meds, but was still very low energy, and would barely eat. We have been concerned that she might not make it because she has been basically slowly starving herself. I have tried all sorts of different foods and nothing has worked. I gave her one dose of this product earlier today when it arrived, and she is already eating more, and her energy level is already going back up. She isn’t completely back to normal and I will probably continue to give it to her until she is back to her regular appetite but I think it’s safe to say it has saved her life and I couldn’t be more grateful to have more time with my for baby!

Upset my dog's stomach, and leaked everywhere.
I can't speak of the weight gaining properties of this stuff, but I do know it's mostly sugar. From what I can tell it looks like some sort of molasses, probably enriched with vitamins.I personally didn't think it had a lot of vitamin levels in it, but I also don't know the dosage that animals need.My dog has always been a picky eater, and has been just above underweight for some time. Now that my mom (his previous owner) died, he's gotten skinnier. The few things he will eat, he doesn't eat enough. I figured I'd try this as a trial run to see if he'd gain any weight.I only got it yesterday so I don't know yet if it will cause him to gain weight. He does not like the flavor! I'm not surprised considering how picky he is, but I also don't blame him. It looks unappealing to me. The fat dog of the family (they eat separately btw) seems to want to try and I'm sure she'd love it. So I imagine a less picky pet would enjoy this? The servings of this stuff is pretty big for my Chihuahua, at one teaspoon. The instructions call for two teaspoons for dogs who don't eat enough, but I wasn't going to force my pup to eat that much.In order to get it in him I had to hold him firmly (but gently) and scoop it into his mouth. It might be easier if I had a smaller syringe to use but the tube it comes in is far too big to stick in a little dog's mouth; it also dispenses too much at a time for a little dog unless they love the stuff. In addition, I'm not sure if it's correlation or causation, but within an hour of eating the stuff for the first time my dog had diarrhea. He's got a sensitive stomach, but I'm cautious about the product now. I gave him another dose today in the hopes of getting his stomach used to it, but I am worried it will continue to upset his stomach. He hasn't eaten his regular dinner yet, so I hope this product isn't doing more harm than good.As for the packaging. It's a good concept, but it ended up being messy for me.I accidentally took the plunger from the tube, which seemed convenient at first since it allowed me to put product back into the tube as needed. Only when I put the plunger back in the product began oozing out of the top and wouldn't stop! It made a big mess. I ended up squeezing the tube into a bowl and discarding the tube.I really wanted to like the product but I'm not sure I'll buy it again unless my dog learns to love it, doesn't get an upset stomach, and gains weight.
