Westinghouse 7028400 Single-Light Mini-Pendant Kit with Nickel Finish

I don’t know what these other people are talking about with the green wire, it is very light green and almost impossible to see. Bought 2 and installed them same day. No issues, easy install and they look great. Cables were easily cut to adjust for the height of my installation. I recommend.

Looks great, moderately easy to install. Ours was a pain because the box was set too deep into the ceiling (crappy construction). Not sure what people are complaining about with the colored wires. You can't even see them. I used this to hang an IKEA pendant lamp cover because the ones they sell only have multiple plugs, no single plugs. Don't ask me why. IKEA is dumb. This is a great hack for it if you like their shades. Makes it look very clean and contemporary.

My intention for this pendant kit was to dismantle it and re-wire it to convert an IKEA fixture from a plug-in type to a hardwired type fixture. This pendant kit was easy to dismantle and reassemble. It installed easily to my ceiling junction box. I felt the metal ceiling shroud piece was very fragile, light gauge metal that bent and dented easily during both my dismantling and installation. It bent back into shape though and worked out fine. The ceiling shroud styling could be a little cleaner and more contemporary looking. If you're looking for something with really clean modern lines, check out West Elm - but be prepared to pay more, and I'm not sure if it would be as universal as this was. Great price, shipped quickly, and dismantled well - great for my purposes!

Super easy to install. Replaced a ceiling fan with this light fixture. Was able to attach a plastic chandelier type cover and it looks so great in my daughters room.

Just as described. I read some review where there were complaints of the cord being an ugly graeenish color. I found none of that and am really pleased with it.

This fixture worked perfectly for what I wanted aesthetically. It's nice and sturdy too. I have just two suggestions for improvement/a five star rating.First, the description of the placement of the canopy mounting screws versus the screws that mount the mounting bar to the outlet box could have been clearer. Being me, I reversed the two, which meant that I had to re-do the placement after all the wiring was connected and working (more about which next). For those installing who are like me and don't know such things, the mounting bar is secured to the outlet box by using the slots (not the screw holes) in the mounting bar.Second, the wire ends are for more nimble fingers than mine (or more nimble wiring than my 90 year old house). I had to strip the wire ends further in order to get a secure connection in the wire nuts (belying the statement "no special tools needed"). Worse, though, was the wire encasement also cut too close to the wire ends, meaning that that had to be stripped an inch or so to get things connected and pushed up into the canopy. The problem with that is the process of stripping the encasement took off all the little flags that distinguished the individual wires (ground, black and white) which was a problem because the wires themselves are all silver. :(

So inexpensive for such a nice item! I am going to be cutting a hole in a Ball jar lid to attach this to. It's going to look cute in my kitchen. I wanted to try one before ordering more. I am definitely impressed.

Made the switch from a recessed can light system to a attractive pendant system. Simple to install.
